TPHD-Wii U Forgot the Cave (spoilers)

So earlier this evening I was battling Ganondorf in the final phase of the end of the game. So proud of myself: I tend towards average at gaming, so getting all the bugs, poes, and stamps in this was a huge deal to me. As I am locked in combat I suddenly remembered that I meant to do the Cave...

    Favorite/Least Favorite Zelda Games

My favorite is usually whatever I am playing at the time:) I just finished TPHD, and enjoyed it much more that the original. Never finished that one, but HD just made me want to. Minish Cap may be my absolute favorite, it was the first one I finished. Then Wind Waker, and A Link Between...

General Zelda What Age Were You when You First Started Playing Zelda?

So, these posts make me feel old...I was 27 when I first got into Zelda. I think the first time I played one I was 25. The daughter of one of my friends was really into MM, and put it into my old N64. I was totally confused and not into it at all. She was definitely frustrated that I didn't...

    General Zelda Manual Jumping?

I say yes, try a Zelda with manual jump. It would add another dimension to Link's abilities. I agree that directing the auto jump can be annoying at times.

    General Zelda Should Sprinting Return?

I liked being able to sprint. And although I didn't like the limitation, I understand how it does make work into the game play. I am not really great at these style games, so I have to work a bit harder. The limits to sprinting and endurance make you have to think about where you are going...

How is C.O.D Better Than LOZ

Why can't we all just get along? COD is a totally different series than Zelda. End of story. You can argue about it til the end of time, but different games appeal to different people. I enjoy watching my brother play COD and have started a file for myself, but I also have fallen in love...

Have You Ever 100% a Modern Zelda Game Without a Guide?

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but this seems like the place to ask it. Ever since I found ZD and have been reading articles and posts, I have wondered how you know if you have 100% the game. There is stuff I would never dream of doing if the walkthrough didn't tell me to do it...

POLL: What is Your Preferred Way to Play Zelda Games?

In my playing so far I strive to get everything. I am ocd that way. But I am also aware that I am no where near good enough to find everything or be able to figure everything out. I don't think I could do a 3 heart run; for me it wouldn't be a fun challenge, it would stress me out. Minimalist...

Skyward Sword ZD Community Gives No Love to SS? :(

I start out each game with good intentions, but I am too paranoid about missing stuff that could be useful, and end up using one constantly. Just started ALttP, and started out with the walkthrough, I would be so lost without it.

Was Navi or Any of the Companions Really Annoying? I Think... NO!

I just started another save file for OoT and am annoyed with Navi because of the whole "Let's go do this" thing she does when you are off adventuring on your own. Otherwise, I really like her. I love Midna, and Fi...I actually do like her. Her ability to state the obvious is definitely...

Skyward Sword ZD Community Gives No Love to SS? :(

I hope you enjoy SS as much as I am! I love the art style! The motion controls take a little getting used to; as long as you take the time to recalibrate after wildly swinging your sword during battles you should be fine! (I am probably the only one who does that, everyone on here always...

    General Modern Whos Keeping Score??

Right now I would have to go with SS. I am enjoying the story more. I really like the graphics in it, although the graphics in TP are good in a different way. I think the coloring just appeals to me in SS. I had a long stretch where I set them both down due to an inability to conquer a...

    Difficulty-- SS or TP

Played TP first, working on SS. Haven't finished either, but played enough to decide that SS is somewhat easier. I have them both for the Wii. I do think the Silent Realms are harder than the Twilight Realm.

Majora's Mask Anyone else Really Hate Majora's Mask?

MM is okay for me. I don't love it, I don't hate it. I am having the same feelings as some of the previous commenters: I don't always have the time to pick up and play it because of the save system. I am not a fan of the three day system, but I am not going to say it is terrible. That is...

General Modern Which Did You Dislike More: the Twilight Realm or the Silent Realm?

The Silent Realms were definitely challenging. I was nervous going into the Eldin volcano one, but I actually found it to be a better experience than the Lanayru one. I didn't mind the Twilight realm, it felt like it just flowed with the game.

    VikzeLink's Weekly Sunday Poll 29!

I like the Ocarina, I do not like the harp in SS. If I am going to play an instrument, I want more control than just strumming up and down and playing scales. I know that you technically "learn" songs in the game, but it just didn't feel right, I was still just strumming and not controlling...

Did You Like Revisiting the Locations Again in Skyward Sword?

I am enjoying it so far. I think if they had not included new parts to each area it might have gotten old. Right now I am on the escort the water up the mountain mission. Which is all the old terrain. But I know I am headed back to the new portion of the area. I am loving Skyward Sword!

Are You a Roller or a Walker?

I run or ride Epona when available. Played TP first, so when I played OoT on VC I felt like the roll wasn't as effective because it was not very smooth at the end of it. I must be the only one who thinks that, though, as I haven't seen anyone else mention it....

Ocarina of Time Give Up on It or Keep Going?

I agree with a lot of what has been said. I have only been playing Zelda games for about a year and a half now, started with TP. From there I got OoT because of all the things I read on here about it. Went on to SS, then MM, and LoZ. Have not beaten any of them yet, but I do find that when I...

Game Help Help with Equipping Items

Wow. That was disgustingly simple. Problem solved! Thank you Azure Sage!!! I confess I either totally glossed over that fact, or forgot it since it has been a while since I got the medal.

    General Modern I Miss Epona!

I really like Epona. She makes getting places faster, especially in TP. I can see the argument that she isn't technically necessary, but it is nice to have the option to move faster when you can't warp places. I do like the Loftwing for SS. It makes sense that the mode of transportation for...

Game Help Help with Equipping Items

I have been having a problem with using items in my pouch. About a week ago I realized I didn't have my shield equipped, and was unable to do so. Then tonight I am at the Volcano Summit trying to get water in my bottle. On my main screen it will not let me use my minus button. If I go to the...

Spoiler Were the Silent Realms Actually Challenging?

I was finally able to beat the Lanayru Desert one, and have now progressed almost to the Eldin Volcano one. I am nervous going into it!!! But with the good advice of those of you who have posted and the ZD walkthrough, I am hoping to make it through!!!

Zelda Games You Have Yet to Play/beat

Own: LOZ OoT MM TP SS Completed: None:( OoT: very close, got to the last fight, died multiple times in the attempt, haven't gotten back to it since summer. MM: have finished the first dungeon LOZ: just barely started TP: just past the Arbiter's Grounds SS: about to tackle the Lanyru Sand Sea...

    Island and Skylands

For me personally, there is so much to do (in the way of sidequests and collections) that just finding the cubes then the chests is enough for me. It would make it a bit more challenging if you had to do something else to get to the chests, but I think it is okay to just get the cube, then the...

Spoiler Were the Silent Realms Actually Challenging?

I find the Silent Realms hard. I am still relatively new to the series, only been playing for a year and a half. I rely on the excellent walk-thrus provided by ZD. So I find the Silent Realms hard. I beat the Faron Woods realm after a few tries, and definitely got the adrenaline rush from...

Majora's Mask Do You Think the Moon from MM is Haunting

Haunting is not the word I would use...totally creepy is how I would describe it. Haunting to me has a feeling of sadness to it. The moon looks just plain evil.

First Experiences with the Silent Realms

I finished the Faron woods realm on my third try if I remember correctly. Have yet to finish Lanyru. Had to put it down in the middle of it one day. I find them hard, definitely using the walkthrough pictures and helps. And I was totally sad to find out there are four of them, for some...
