The new Mario and Luigi was the most exciting announcement for me.

I want an overworld not in the sky/sea. I like a dense overworld like Majoras Mask, it has open spaces but also a ton of stuff to see. The Wind Waker overworld felt absoulutely empty, there was only one island on each square and no incentive to explore.

Most new PC games let you use a controller and PC has better graphics and a smoother framerate for most games so PC gaming is definitely better for multiplatform games. The only thing consoles have over PC is their exclusives.

I've played Zelda games for years but only recently have I started playing them all the way though. I've only beaten Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Minish Cap so far, but I'm really far in Link's Awakening and Spirit Tracks, and I'm over halfway done Majora's Mask.

I think a new player should start with Link to the Past and then play Ocarina of Time. Starting with LttP because it's sometimes easier to understand puzzles in a 2d space and then going to OoT to see how puzzles work in 3d.

I can't choose, while consoles have more good games, I sometimes have more fun playing handheld games like Warioware Twisted and ports like the Mario Advance Series. I've probably spent more time with Warioware and Warioware Twisted than most console game.

The only one I could see working at all would be Hideo Kojima for Metroid, since technically a stealth based Metroid would work. Suda 51 would make no sense for a Mario title, he works with mature action games and Mario is the exact opposite.

During hurricane Sandy my power was out for a week, and during that time I read a lot and played Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Links Awakening.

Since every new game can potentially change the timeline and a book cannot reflect these changes so the timeline in the book may be outdated by the time Zelda Wii U or 3DS. I think Nintendo has done a good job of always keeping the world's fresh in the Zelda games. Even OoT and Twilight Princess felt really different, while at the same time it was neat to see familiar places again. I would love to see a new game set in Termina, as well as entirely new regions.

How did Link to the Past have poor controls? Buttons are far more fluid and accurate than a touchscreen can ever be.

I don't play many RPG's but I really liked the system in Paper Mario, it's turn based but you can take less damage or do more damage if you can time your attacks/blocks right.

For me it's Bioshock, it manages to tell a very interesting story that is richer if you want it to be by listening to the audio logs. Also, the story telling is more immersive since it doesn't take you away from the experience with overuse of cutscenes.
