I agree that you're a bad cop target and I'm potentially an alright one. I just found the contrast amusing. Also, i don't know what my being audited entailed.
I was going to wait for the input of more people, although i guess I may as well do it now since I'll probably be going to bed soon and i don't know when I'll be back up.
The relevant portion of my role is that If i target someone at night and kill them, I gain investigative powers. I won't say...
i imagine its not worth digging into at this juncture. Outing the truth on the matter could end up hurting the player who did it, and they could either end up being town or scum. I figured it was worth having it on record for if it becomes relevant later, but I think thats all thats worth doing...
oh also it completely slipped my mind but i got a message last night saying i was audited and nothing else so that was a thing sorry for not mentioning that earlier
My role is better if i claim it since it revolves around the actions of other players to be useful (but i expect it won't be useful regardless). Initially i was going to breadcrumb it but I think that given we have 2 claims a day, it might just be better to claim it. If people aren't opposed...
And ultimately I think its just a playstyle thing. I think as a player you're probably overly focused on confirming people's roles. Using a cop shot on someone just to confirm their role is potentially a waste and someone having an unconfirmable role isn't a reason to lynch them or suspect them...
To me the case is primarily based on kill analysis. Minish was killed and she was one of the few players who was on Giri's case. Giri lurking isn't alignment indictive to me, and i don't think anyone has said it was. (although SMS said that giri has killed as mafia on the basis of suspicion...
LG said that my claiming your role (or vice versa) would count as a claim so i'll just go so far as to reference Moe's original claim in saying that although their role is simply "neighbour" it works more like a "nerfed neighbourizer" (i believe those were their words), and so however @Johnny...
I'm content with what I've said for today. Giri is the strongest case by a good margin in my opinion. I'm not interested in lynching storm because others have said this is how they always act and thus I'm taking their behaviour as NAI.
i don't see things in such a black and white way.
Lets say i see the odds of either of my two cases as 40%, and see the odds of an unknown third case being correct as 20%, which probably approximates how i'm thinking right about now.
Killed because Minish was on Giri's case - 0.4
Killed...
I said as much yesterday, but I believe that fast wagons yield more information than slow wagons, which was largely the motivation for my sense of haste. Its something I do often as either alignment.
here's a post from yesterday where i more or less say that i think pen is more likely town...
there's virtually nothing to be gained from confirming ex's role and its also incredibly unlikely he's lying to begin with since it would involve two scum coordinating to spin a lie that gains them nothing and potentially puts them at risk if they're somehow caught in it. The only situation i...
I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Giri for now. I think this is the right angle to pursue. Pendio's claim is scummy and I don't like his day 1 behaviour, but I feel like the case on Giri is stronger at this point and if nothing else I'd like to see them pressured into contributing more...
Her being feared probably makes the case on giri stronger rather than weaker because a minish who was nosing around in the wrong direction would be an asset to mafia rather than a liability probably.
This meta has weird claiming culture but i feel like there wouldn't be a reason to soft doctor...
i skimmed the day
Minish was paying a lot of attention to giri who was largely ignored by other players. That probably makes minish a decent kill if giri is mafia. Between that and giri's lack of meaningful activity on day 1 they're probably also a good lynch candidate.
I'd like to read back on the day in light of the flips, especially minish's, but pendio is still a strong candidate in my mind. The lynch swung from him to a townie, and my reasons for suspecing him on D1 still stand.
Minish felt like an odd kill to me. She felt pretty low profile yesterday...
How is ex cleared? As far as i know he only inherited the networking ability, and not the alignment of moe. Are mafia-aligned backups unheard of?
that said, I can confirm that i was added to a neighbourhood with ex last night.
moe didn't clarify what their role did despite me and rubik both asking and i'm willing to treat that as a sign of deception.
Unvote, Vote: Moe
i think deadline has technically passed though, so maybe this won't count.
you should probably claim what your role actually does before day ends moe, because "nerfed neighbour or something *shrugs*" is probably not as helpful as it could be
he reacted to pen having a negative role before pen fullclaimed so he probably at least wasn't planning to play that angle from the start, though it certainly would work out for him if he does happen to be scum and was playing a different angle to begin with.
and to be clear, i'm not saying that's what i think you are. I'm just conjuring examples to show pen that you could feasibly have role-related reasons to not want pen lynched today despite not being a backup.
Lynching the person i think is most likely to be scum isn't just optimal in that its...
@Pen: because of his role
In one very specific and improbable example, he might be a cop that loses the ability to investigate people as soon as the paranoid gun owner dies. There could be any number of reasons his role leads him to think that you being lynched today would be bad for the town...
if you flip scum then him and moe are obvious people to look at but until you flip scum there's no great point in reading that far ahead.
Its entirely feasible that he's town and has reasons to believe that you being lynched day 1 would be bad, whether or not you're scum.
I think he liked those posts specifically because he was breadcrumbing a role that justified postponing your lynch and you and rubik named roles that justified postponing your lynch.
I don't think he's lying because to begin with i don't think he's even lightly implied he's a backup. I have no real reason to believe he's a backup and so i don't see lynching you as a waste.
I do believe that if he is telling the truth and is town that from his perspective lynching you today...
Whether or not you think you should never trust me is your business.
I'm not saying I'd never trust you though, and in this case my lack of trust in you isn't based on your lying as town. I don't think you're lying or trying to pull off a gambit here. At this stage in the game i don't see why...
if i had to guess i'd say you're more likely telling the truth than you are lying, but i'd also bet more on you flipping scum than on anyone else in the game right now, which is why I'd like to see you hang.
Exlight didn't allude to anything aside from thinking that you being lynched would be a...
