I'm currently in the Gerudo desert. Coming up to my favourite cutscene soon with the Execution of Ganondorf, looking forward to seeing that one again.

Lakebed temple looked good visually and Gerudo desert also looks good. Something that I loved about it even before is the footprints you leave in the sand, it's a simple thing that too many games just leave out. I appreciate things like that.

Just started playing it today and I'm really liking the graphics update, I'm very happy that they're doing the map and item switch thing that WWHD did, because that was something I really loved about that one. Not gotten very far in the game yet, still on the forest temple, wanted to finish it before bed, but the Gamepad needed charging, lol.

Can't you charge and play at the same time?

You definitely can. Infact, if she hadn't brought that up, I wouldn't even know you could use it if it's not plugged in.

The graphics look indeed much better. The tiniest details are visible. I also like the controls much better. I received my copy a few hours ago and I'm about to enter the forest temple.

Holy ****, these horse controls are balls. How did they manage to turn the best Epona controls into the worst?

They merely take getting used to. Instead of using the left analog stick, use the right analog stick to turn. This will make everything make more sense.

Furthermore, this takes a lot less focus on driving Epona and more on combat in the other sections of the game. It certainly is a change, and I had a hard time adjusting to it. However, it's pretty satisfying when it finally clicks

It definitely is, though I find the right analog stick ocassionaly won't respond when I'm riding my horse, which is weird.

Does anyone know why a part of the ordon village pond is blocked off?
Well, I think what happened on my first playthrough happened to many people.

In my very first blind playthrough of TP. I just swam out to the monkey, assuming that I had to do something there. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to do, so that gate makes it obvious that you should not swim down there. It's too little too late for me, however, it's a change for those who are first playing TP.

But why is it still there after that part though? That's what I don't understand.

Looks worse than WWHD, to be honest.

To me - not enough new to make me love the game, but it is a good trip down memory lane.

Graphically, the jump from WW to WWHD was much larger than TP to TPHD.

For me personally, it has been so long since I played through the entirety of Twilight Princess, and in particular I haven't done most of the side quests for 8-9 years, so it actually feels fresh. Also, I have NEVER played the GameCube version, so the whole thing feels disorienting having played the Wii version.

I have yet to try Hero Mode or Ganondorf Amiibo play, but I will be doing that in my next playthrough. Right now, I'm just playing through it 100% and updating the guide.
