It's just a theory there is no evidence of it. What the Koroks did say in WW was something along the lines of wanting to join all the islands with the roots of trees and create a new land.

Then that statement by the koroks doesn't = deflood Hyrule..

Which it is in TP
It's really not, it's in a clearly decrepit state of ruin. It's completely fallen apart, and the forest is in the process of taking it, and the Temple of Time we see in BotW is in a field, and while it is clearly in bad shape, it's still standing, which is more than you can say for the temple in TP.

And who's to say in this 'guardian war' in BotW couldn't clear a forest.

Plus, as far as I know the temple of time didn't exist till OOT came out. Ruling out the games before it having the temple.

1. The roof of the temple in TP was completely caved in, and was open to the elements. From what we've seen, the Temple of Time in BotW has a majority of the roof still intact. Not to mention the 3 spires were not present on the Temple of Time in TP, but they're present in BotW.

2. The Temple of Time was created before Minish Cap, actually; it was a restructured Sealed Temple that Rauru renovated to keep the Sacred Realm hidden.

This is not a theory I came up with myself but one I heard.

The game takes place post WW in a timeline split where Ganondorf returns Hyrule to it's former state and removes the ocean with his wish.

Evidence includes rock salt in the over world with a description 'from an ancient sea' and the Koroks from WW which were said to evolve after the sea came in the first place.

There is also the Temple of Time from OOT which would have been washed away had this been in the regular adult timeline without this theorized split taking place.

They also theorise that Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule is in fact the old man from BoTW. There is certainly a similarity, the dark skin, white hair plus the old dude is very tall. In Ww Daphnes is almost as tall as Ganondorf himself.

I don't know if I think they will do further splits in the timeline but I wouldn't put it past them.

But Hyrule wasn`t destroyed according to the wish of Dapnes at the end TWW?
