@Spiritual Mask Salesman It's not quite 1:1 but I don't think it's coincidence either

OoT's version was supposed to be based on flamingo guitar playing but the technology of the time didn't make it possible to make it sound like a guitar.

TP's version of the theme is a lot closer to guitar sounding parts, which might be the similarity.

Tying back to what I said about there not being Gerudo in the desert in TP, it's still the Gerudo desert regardless so it makes sense that the music might sound the same.

TP's gerudo desert theme uses the motif of TP's Hyrule Field, which is not the same as the riff you hear in oot's gerudo valley
there are two similarities; they both start on the same note, and they both have the same general shape
