  • This is something my dad showed me because I love to write. It's pretty funny, so I thought I'd share it here.

    1. Avoid alliteration. Always.

    2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.

    3. Avoid cliches like the plague. (They're old hat.)

    4. Employ the vernacular.

    5. Eschew ampersands & abbreviations, etc.

    6. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary.

    7. It is wrong to ever split an infinitive.

    8. Contractions aren't necessary.

    9. Foreign words and phrases are not apropos.

    10. One should never generalize.

    11. Eliminate quotations. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: "I hate quotations. Tell me what you know."

    12. Comparisons are as bad as cliches.

    13. Don't be redundant; don't use more words than necessary; it's highly superfluous.

    14. Be more or less specific.

    15. Understatement is always best.

    16. Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.

    17. One-word sentences? Eliminate.

    18. Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake.

    19. The passive voice is to be avoided.

    20. Go around the barn at high noon to avoid colloquialisms.

    21. Even if a mixed metaphor sings, it should be derailed.

    22. Who needs rhetorical questions?
    4th of July poem

    Jets of light,

    Brighten the night,

    All different hues,

    The reds, whites, and blues,

    As they explode in mid-air,

    The colors, they flare,

    And the citizens cheer,

    For their country, so dear,

    And throughout the night,

    One hears the delight,

    “A Happy Birthday,

    To our great U.S.A.”
Happy Independence day to all my fellow Americans!

Hey, buddy, you do belong here, once you join zd, you’re part of the family, our little forum family. There’s lots of places here where you can talk and make friends without having to know about Zelda, though I do suggest you get some, they’re really good. I would suggest Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, BotW, and Majora’s Mask. You should check out the trailers of the games to see which one you think is most interesting to you.

I just don’t want you to feel like an outsider, I feel bad when someone else feels left out. You’re a really good and great guy, and don’t you ever forget that. ❤
Yes, no, no, yes, no, no, yes, no, no, yes_____yes, no, no, yes, no, no, yes, no, no, yes.

Never need a reason, never need a rhyme, pick your knees up, step in time! Over the roof tops step in time, over the roof tops step in time, over the roof tops! over the roof tops! over the roof tops step in time!
What will people do when they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak? What will people do when they find out it's true? I don't really care if they think that I'm a Jesus Freak. There ain't no stopping the truth.
"Bokoblins, Moblins, and Stals surrounded Link and Marth, along with (Fire Emblem minion)s and even Ganon. The pair sliced, kicked, fought with the ferocity of a pair of lions, but the monsters were closing in. Then, with a mighty yell, the two glowed, the sign of a Final Smash. However, this Final Smash was… different, in every possible way. With a war cry that rattled the heavens, Link plunged the Master Sword into the ground, twisted it, and pulled it out, the blade now as large as a house. With a fierce gleam in his eye, Link spun the sword around him, launching the monsters and Ganon into the air. Marth, at the same time, swept his sword to the side, jumped on par with the now air-born baddies, and dashed through them, slicing them to pieces, landing critical hits everywhere. After Marth obliterated the minions, Link leapt into the air with a Final surge of strength, and, as one, they unsheathed their swords, spun, and struck Ganon, sending him hurtling to the floor, where he landed with an earth-shattering CRASH!! and dissolved into a purple mist."
Why can't I view Eli Ayase's profile? I noticed his name was struck through.
    This month some time
Ban Log isn't public here. Nor can you discuss the reason of ban with the staff. The only thing they'll tell you is whether it's a ban or account deactivation
Wasn't planning on asking anyone. Whatever it is, that's his private business.

Where should I make a thread where I just post any random thought I have?
I know this was a month ago, but You have to push general blogs and post there, and when you’ve posted three blogs there, you can make your own blog section if you want
    !Muchas gracias senorita!

So, for those who may be curious, I'm including a "Link" (Ha ha) to the Mario Boards thread I created for my 'Shroom story. I plan to update it monthly with new links to The 'Shroom pages with my story.
