A plane had wrecked on an island, and two men survived. One man's wife had died in the wreckage. When they ran out of food, the second man brought what he said was a wild albatross, but was really part of the dead wife.
So then a couple years later, the first man orders albatross at a resturant, and realizes it tasted nothing like the "albatross" he had eaten on the island. He realizes it was his wife, and kills himself.

Puzzle 060- Bridge to Concertia- 30PP
"U2" has a concert that starts in 17 minutes and they must all cross a bridge to get there. All four men begin on the same side of the bridge.You must help them across to the other side. It is night. There is one flashlight. A maximum of two people can cross at one time. Any party who crosses, either 1 or 2 people, must have the flashlight with them. The flashlight must be walked back and forth, it cannot be thrown etc.
Each band member walks at a different speed. A pair must walk together at the rate of the slower man's pace:
Bono:- 1 minute to cross
Edge:- 2 minutes to cross
Adam:- 5 minutes to cross
Larry:-10 minutes to cross
For example: if Bono and Larry walk across first, 10 minutes have elapsed when they get to the other side of the bridge. If Larry then returns with the flashlight, a total of 20 minutes have passed and you have failed the mission.
Note: There is no trick behind this. It is the simple movement of resources in the appropriate order. There are two known answers to this problem. This is based on a question Microsoft gives to all prospective employees. (Normally, it is needed to be solved in under 5 minutes! D
Larry carries the flashlight, and Bono carries Larry across the bridge. +1 min
Bono brings the flashlight back across the bridge. +1 min
Now Bono and Adam both walk across the bridge. +5 min
Bono brings the flashlight back. +1 min
Bono and Edge walk across the bridge. +2 min
For a total of.... 10 minutes!

If carrying is an option, why don't you let Bono carry all of them? That way, you'd end up with only 5 minutes instead of 10.

lol wish I had seen this before I worked out the exact same answer
the problem was that Adam and Larry could only cross once, so it was a matter of getting them to cross together

By it "walks" away, does it literally walk, or do you just mean it somehow gets up and leaves it's current location? I wouldn't think it's an egg, because without incubation (you just put it on a shelf, after all) it won't hatch.
If the latter, then my guess would be a snail. They can hide up in their shell for days or even years then as soon as they are re-introduced to a moister environment come out and resume where they left off. And the French eat them (escargot, anyone?).
