Wouldn't work. If you had six flowers, and all except two are roses, then you'd have four roses. But all except two are tulips (four tulips), and all except two are daisies (four daisies). Four plus four plus four does not equal six.

Two. And neither of them are roses, tulips or daisies.

Correct! :3 15PP~

047-Camel Race!-10PP

An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower will win. The brothers, after wandering aimlessly for days, ask a wise man for advise. After hearing the advice they jump on the camels and race as fast as they can to the city. What does the wise man say?

Well, I'm not that good at riddles, but does the wiseman say " The city is over there. Tell you what, whoever gets there first wins your father's fortune"? I know it's wrong, but it's a guess.

They switch camels. No, let me rephrase that: The old man tells them to switch camels.

Correct! 7PP for you Mr. Heide. You're rocketing up the leaderboard. Soon, you could be in first place! ^^

Puzzle 048- Keys -20PP

You want to send a valuable object to a friend. You have a box which is more than large enough to contain the object. You have several locks with keys. The box has a locking ring which is more than large enough to have a lock attached. But your friend does not have the key to any lock that you have. How do you do it? Note that you cannot send a key in an unlocked box, since it might be copied.

Send her the box with you lock on.
She sends it back with another lock of her own on it.
You unlock your own lock and send it back.
She uses her key to unlock her lock and open the box.

Sorry for the lateness. But correct. 20PP.

Puzzle 049- Centrifuge- 30PP

You are a biochemist, working with a 12-slot centrifuge. This is a machine that has 12 equally spaced slots around a central axis, in which you can place tubes containing chemical samples you want separated. When the machine is turned on, the samples whirl around the central axis and the denser substances are forced to the bottom of the tubes.

To ensure that the samples are well separated, they must be distributed in the 12 slots such that the centrifuge is balanced evenly. For example, if you wanted to centrifuge 4 samples, you could place them in slots 12, 3, 6 and 9 (assuming the slots are numbered from 1 to 12 like a clock).

Problem: Can you use the centrifuge to separate 5 samples?

Yes. Add a tube with a similar mass of water or something so you have 6 spaced every other slot.
Or you could separate three (slots 12, 4, 8 or equivalent) then separate the other two (slots 12, 6 or equivavlent)

Would it be that you place 1 tube in 4, the next in 8 and then a third in 12, then place the other two in any remaining slots as long as they are opposite each other?

I'm not sure that's what Locke meant to be honest...

If you can't read this, you're blind.
maybe you put in two on 5 and 10 then do it again with the next two and then the final one is 5?
