  • Same here. My favorite song from that album is probably either Survivalism, The Good Soldier, or The Great Destroyer.
So... I've realized that I've been focusing my attention to far away from Radiohead lately (they're my favorite band in all of history, so I should at least pay them some attention :xd:), since I've been giving it all to NIИ. The only reason I'm telling you this is because I wanted to ask you... I've been wanting to get a new Radiohead album, but I can't decide between In Rainbows, The King of Limbs, and Amnesiac. Which one do you think I should get?
    I respect that.

The political arena often gets ugly. It's best to be unaffiliated with either major party/
I'm sorry I've been too lazy to watch either of the two videos you've posted... lol. You're not comment bombing.... I don't get many visitor messages in the first place, haha.
And it's fine. I don't ever pay attention to others' birthdays, soo.......
Oh, and I've given Pretty Hate Machine a few solid listens, and I really like it! Well.... I really like tracks 1-9. Ringfinger, I'm not a fan of. I don't want to say that it sounds to '80s synthpop-like, because all of the songs sound like industrial synthpop from the '80s. It's just... I don't really like that song very much. Not sure why.
Year Zero is also really good. I borrowed that one from a friend and I really, really like it. I like how electronic it is, and some parts like the end of The Great Destroyer are just really, really cool.
Actually, Trent made the remaster. The one you're thinking of (the one I mistakenly ordered... I'll probably buy an original and a 2010 remaster eventually,) was a re-release made in 2005 by his old idiot record company, not even authorized by Trent. I think the one you own is the 2010 remaster, because the original didn't have the Queen cover. And the original and the 2010 remaster have different artwork, because Trent doesn't even own the original PHM artwork... TVT (record company) does.
I'm surprised you knew about the one he didn't authorize though... I had to do some research on that when you told me about it. Turns out I should've done that research before I went ahead and bought it, huh?
Thanks for that super nice comment on the Throws something at the next poster thread <3 That was very nice and deeply appreciated!
Well thanks! I got the original (not the remaster), but I'll probably purchase the remaster at some point. Since I've already got all of Tool's and Chevelle's, my goal is to complete my NIN and Radiohead collections soon.
Ironically... those are the only three songs I've heard from the album. But I've been hearing Head Like a Hole on the radio for years (it's a classic), long before I started listening to Nine Inch Nails. I only first heard Something I Can Never Have a couple of weeks ago... because I heard that it's an essential listen for ANY Nine Inch Nails fan, and loved it. I only first heard Terrible Lie... well, around 5PM-ish today, actually.

Oh, and I thought you'd find this interesting, since we're on the topic of Pretty Hate Machine... Just for clarification: The reason Trent broke down during this particular performance was because his grandmother (who raised him) had passed away, not too long before that show. The song itself I think had something to do with his grandparents, and with his addictions and the depression he was dealing with at the time the song was written.

Haha!! I guess..... now we know never to throw mic stands? Lol.
Oh, and I ordered Pretty Hate Machine yesterday... should come in the mail tomorrow. Just wondering, what are your thoughts on that one?
While I love NIN, I'm not so sure about Reznor as a person. I don't really know much about him, so I haven't really developed too much of an opinion on him, but this does really suck.
I really hope that he learns that independent is the way to go... I remember him being so excited about how easy releasing The Slip was, what happened to that?
    *sigh*
Thanks! Sun's Song is a member. Your name is after a song, her name is after a song. I thought you could be friends. :)
Oh yeah, I definitely like Nastia and Shawn. I was ten when they competed in the Olympics and I didn't really understand what was going on at that point. But I remember specifically watching swimming, soccer, and of course, gymnastics. I remember cheering on both of them as they took the top two spots in the All-Around. Being that I didn't know much at the time, I wasn't rooting for one over the other, but I wanted them both to succeed because they were American athletes.

Now that I'm older, I can more fully appreciate the sport and what their accomplishments really meant to it!
