If Hollywood were to make the Movie, I'd really Nuke them for it. I am not joking.

My reasons behind these are the recent movies made by those who worked in Hollywood. Those movies may look good to people, but the movie lacks finesse, and taste. It's my opinion and I don't mean to bash it, but I really have to say it. Seeing Hollywood making a movie from the Legend of Zelda will somehow create more of a hate-war rather than appease them. I would like to note that the April Fool's Video of the Legend of Zelda was rather well made. I would like to see it for real if it hadn't been made for that reason. They put a lot of effort to really please the fans. I would suggest rather than making a Live Zelda movie, why not make a Legend of Zelda movie from just the computer using CGI?

Think about it, CGI may sound tiresome but it has the benefits rather than a Live action movie. And CGI has the "Game" Appeal. Furthermore, we don't need to see actors trying to act as the characters. I really really REALLY don't want to see an bad actor roleplay as Link, nor as Zelda. Yes, I'm aware that it requires a skillful group of persons and a LOT of time for this to happen, but if it's better than seeing a movie of the Legend of Zelda made in Hollywood, I'd take it.

On a side note, I would like to see an Anime Version of the Legend of Zelda. I don't know if my Otaku-Drive(I'm half Japanese, so yeah....anime is a fav of mine....) is the cause of me wanting to see an Anime version of it or if it's my sole respect for the game, but I can sense it COULD work, but it's a long shot.

But alas, it may never happen. The Final say goes to Miyamoto or Iwata. They are, afterall, the masterminds behind the game. Though hoping to see one makes it more interesting.

The reason they haven't made one yet is beacuse it isen't hollywood enough for them.. I dislike hollywood very much and i'm just letting everyone know right now that they are the most cliche movie bunch on the west side of the planet and a Zelda movie would have to be everything but Cliche. If anything it would have to be an anime movie for me to really get into the story. Or else whichever actor they picked would make me want to cry for the future of the Zelda series. If you take out the real hollywood actors then maybe you could make a movie that Zelda fans could really get behind. So you get the people behind the Zelda mangas and you team them up with Studio Ghibli and BAM without knowing it we have just created a 5 star film that would no doubt take Japan by storm, and then make it's way over here. Like Naruto but green instead of orange lol. Don't think I'm serious? Well I am.

Do you think the nintendo company will create a movie of zelda in hollywood?

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-09-16/keanu-reeves-discusses-live-action-cowboy-bebop

They're planning to film a live action Cowboy Bebop movie which to be honest, I'm not too excited about since Keanu Reeves is suppose to be playing Spike! But, who knows? Maybe he might be fit for this role. I definitely won't like it when he says "BANG" though (if he says it in the movie). That line belongs only to Steve Blum.

But, anyway my point is that if Hollywood is thinking about filming Bebop, eventually they'll look into Zelda. That's just my opinion. If that happens then I'll probably get excited for a while. I just hope the director & the producers find real actors that look like they can fit with the characters. If they just put random people in the movie like Megan Fox to be Nabooru or princess Ruto then....#1 I'll laugh and #2 I wouldn't be able to take the movie seriously as a fan.

Personally, I just think it would be safer to have a Zelda movie like Final Fantasy Advent Children. Those movies were popular and they stayed true to the story & the characters.

No, I don't think they'll make one. And they're definatily not the right people to make one. I just think that the Legend of Zelda isn't the right kind of series to make into a movie. Not a movie, but maybe a TV show. I once had a picture of an OoT TV show in my mind after reading the manga.

I would like to see a Zelda movie, but I don't think I would want it to be made in Hollywood. Hollywood gives movies a certain style that I really don't like. I'd prefer to see it made in Japan.

Come to think of it, I think Zelda may lend itself more to being an anime series than a movie. That has worked for other video games, after all.

We all know what happens to video games when they get turned into movies. Zelda is one of the greatest series of games ever made, and to have a movie tarnish that reputation would be a horrible thing. Also I find it very unlikely that Nintendo would ok such a project after the Super Mario Bros. movie.

As long as it's not the Zelda cartoon, I can deal with a potential anime
I Have to say i totally agree with this, perhaps not a movie, an anime would be alright. IN an anime you can make details (Like for a temple for example) but in a movie you have to resume it too much (Link meets Deku tree, Princess, Master Sword, Ganon) <= where are the temples the stones, Epona.

Lets just hope movie no>.< Anime yeah (but good designed)

I used to think that there could not be a good zelda movie, but after reading the manga I think an epic CGI movie of OoT is possible. it could be a Three hour epic like avatar or lord of the rings. By the way I bags making it! its coming in 2020

I would love for them to make a movie for Zelda, but does anyone know what "Dragon ball" is? Well it was a TV show, and they
made it to a movie. Yeah, Goku looks NOTHING like that from the TV show! So disappointed, what if they do the same for Link? As in they find a guy that looks nothing like Link and they make the story line terrible... They could make a movie for it, as in there are good chances but if they do.. I just hope they actually make the characters look like the ones off the game especially Link and the Story line more like how every Zelda game is not completely off

there is a small chance that Hollywood does make a zelda movie. If the director of some film or the producer's son get them a zelda game and he really likes it, he could be all like "Oh, this is a great game! And will attract more viewers! That's it, we're makin' a movie!" If they make a movie about MC, they will be hot. Real hot.

Haha, that does sound about right, but I'm tired of Michael Cera, so I'd rather they not make that movie.
Ehhh...no. Majora's Mask had a great story and could probably be most easily adapted into a good movie if it weren't for one thing: It's the sort of story that can only be told in a video game. Groundhog Day had a similar concept, and there was only so much they could do with it. You'd be repeating the plot 4 times, maybe more, to make Majora's Mask work as a movie, which would make it boring and repetitive.
Well Groundhog Day is an example of a bad movie, not a bad concept. As long as the story is told in a very 1st person mode, the realizations that the character makes, would keep the audience guessing. If you watch some video walkthroughs of Majora's Mask, you can get through the days quite quickly and I think the plot would move along quite nicely.
