That is a good way of looking at it, time is precious and thus less wasted on such people.

When people are nice to you when things go bad and you help them but don't care you exist when things go well for them. This makes me care less and less for them as well

I used to be that way. But now I'm not, and I hate people who are still like that. I've grown out of self absorbsion, why can't they?
