Um, it wouldn't be the 7th game in the main series... You're forgetting about Code Veronica X and Revelations, assuming you were counting Resident Evil 0. And yes, I am getting this game on day one. My sig says it all (which you might want to click on). I see you like REdeads. Did you know there will be zombies similar to them in Resident Evil 6? They're called Screamers. Also, the Crimson Heads return from the Resident Evil REmake, which is a hell to the yes! This game keeps sounding better and better with each piece of info that releases.

Okay, so I got a lot of SPOILERS here, courtesy of Dusk Golem from NeoGAF forums.

Leon Gameplay Spoiler

Apparently, Leon's levels become more hub like for the possibility of exploration and puzzle solving? I'm not promising that his entire campaign will be this way, maybe it only happens once, but the info is unclear at the moment. But puzzles and cranks are said to be back this time around.

Jake's Campaign: Final Boss/Major Plot Spoiler

According to the files, Derek Simmons will mutate and be the final boss for Jake's campaign. He is said to have three transformations.

Crimson Heads are said to make their long and very well welcomed return in Resident Evil 6. A new variation of zombie called "Screamers", are said to act similar to Redeads, as seen in The Legend of Zelda series, due to their ability to stun you with a scream. Dogs and crows also make a return.

Definitely getting this game. I just hope there will be more puzzles and exploration like the older games. Of course I would like some action too since action is always nice.

I got hooked on RE after playing as Chris for the original Playstation. The only one I didn't enjoy that much was RE5. I am excited for this one though...Leon is one of the coolest characters IMHO.

I would love to buy Resident Evil 6, but alas, I only have Nintendo consoles and handhelds! Nonetheless, my friend Ramon Peña has been waiting for this game since his 8th grade year!

I am getting the game! I am also glad the changed the release date from November to October because now it can be my birthday gift, so I know I'll get it.

Oh my goodness, I so hope i can get this day one. 11 days late, but I just saw the demo gameplay. Who am I gonna use? Leon and Helena, Chris, and Sherry for each respective playthrough. <3

The game looks like RE5 on 'roids, which needless to say is AMAZING. I doubt I'll be scared since the good ol' Melee attacks are still around (I'll miss i-frames though), but ammo conservation looks like a must for anyone who wishes to get by with guns. I wonder how skill points will work!

Skill Points work like they do int a RPG,you get to upgrade your characters.

I already pre-ordered it from Best Buy. Pre-orders come with exclusive Mercenaries Mode maps. You need to pre-order from Gamestop, Best Buy, or Amazon to receive one of the three exclusive maps. I'm gonna pre-order another copy at Gamestop so I could claim the code on the receipt and return it. Genius! I've done this with a number of games already. FIGHT THE SYSTEM!
