Not perfect, suffers from some minor flaws and has a total of 3 solid campaigns. Jake's campaign is the weakest and Jake himself is unlikeable as a character. It's not terrible or anything, they just tried too many new things that weren't executed as well as they could of been. His hand to hand combat is fun though. I'd say it's worth a try, I'm certainly having lots of fun with this game. Leon's campaign alone, I'd say is better than RE4. But I'd probably still be a bit biased towards RE4 since it was the first of its kind, single player, and made Leon what he is today.
The camera gets a bit clunky in some situations, but nothing major, I'd say 98% of the time, it's perfect. There's also a ton of quick time events. None in cutscenes, which is good. Personally, I feel they did it right in this game, since it really helps tell the story. I'd also really like to compliment the gameplay. The dodging, free-running, and inventory are stunning. The inventory took getting used to, but until I understood it, it was very simple. Each campaign has its own set of weapons to acquire and you can no longer upgrade weapons in favor of a skill system. Co-op is also more realized this time around.
Anyway, I'd say it's definitely worth the pick up.
