New info! Apparently the way we upgrade weapons is being changed.

Hey, just wanted to point out that I was looking through Kranico's MHX page, and came across some interesting stuff, including Monster Names, Maps, and some weapons. Here's what I saw so far, it's translated from Japanese, so obviously it may not be exactly what will be in the English version of the game.

If i recall several of those are from Monster Hunter Portable3rD and some seem specially made for MHX. Amatsumagatsuchi is from MHP3rd and damn is it a formidable foe.

Um i just found a list of all monsters, maps and the ilk
But from what i gather the Water Arena in MH Tri was an underwater arena correct so this kinda indicates we have at least one underwater battle available
Also i can confirm that Plesioth makes a return in MHX so that's likely why the Water Arena Exists.

Oh this deserves it's own Post, OSUTOGAROA ARE FREAKING AWESOME. Think Orochi from Okami.
This beast is fought in Wyvern Graveyard which when Osutogaroa becomes enraged the MAP FREAKING CHANGES.

Also INSECT GLAIVE IS IN MHX ^^ YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Though i believe it gets renamed to Aerial Glaive, though i hope that's merely the weapon name.
A New skill exists called the Extract Hunter Skill. You Hit a monster and you get all three Juices from it if you miss well you get nothing. DAMN YEAH IG IS GOD.

So for the final boss in the games Narrative in this case HR7's Urgent we have the one and only OSUTOGAROA, this beast of magnificence is rather similar to Yama Tsukami But at the same time he is not....... maybe a video of the Osutogaroa fight will help you, the video is Curtesy of Apex Gaming:
This boss the a 3 phase boss, you actually fight him in another mission but must drive him away, in this fight, you fight to kill, as we can see the first fight seems somewhat well easy, it looks like a giant Hydra beast of if you are like me similar to Orochi. This thing has literally Bone Armor for gods sake how glorious is this thing, anyway it also has a weak point in it's armor a glowy rainbow plate, so the first phase appears to be you aiming to take it's "heads" down
Once done it will emerge from the ground and by emerge i mean EMERGE we see it's squid face so it turns out those heads are in fact Arms or maybe they are heads who knows What we do know is that the Heads will root around in the ground searching for wyvern skulls in this fight we see it wearing what could be a Zinogre skull or maybe Nargacuga, it's attacks inflict Ice and lighting on the terrain, once damaged enough it becomes OUTRAGED
The final Phase, It can be knocked out of this form by the way but not easily, in this form the stage itself changes as if in response to him, and the boss' coloration changes epically, we also that the other arm/head has gained a skull of it's own a Brachydios skull, from what i can gather it will dig up skulls from the map and use it against you YAY SUFFERING. When it finally dies it literally shoots of a laser that shatters the ceiling of Wyvern Graveyard, however as stated in the comments if it uses that on you it's an instant death.

Something you guys might be interested in and mayhap push you towards the Insect Glaive, They've separated the glaive and Kinsect, you can level each separately, you can have a max level glaive with a low level kinsect or vice versa.
That's cool, didn't know that about the glaive, but I did know that it's making a return in MHX. Wasn't it in the weapons trailer? If not, then the Charge Blade is returning as well.
Also, Plesioth isn't the only underwater monster in MHX. The Royal Ludroth and Lagiacrus are coming back, too.
Honestly, I'm getting a little more hyped now that some of my favorite monsters are returning, like the Alatreon, Lagiacrus, and Agnaktor. There's also a "Gold Zinorge" under the monster list for Kiranico, so that's cool.

Right back to the glaive with this one, in addition to separating the Glaive and Kinsect, they also split how you feed it and with what, you have the Growth nectars, for power, speed and stamina but you also have the elemental nectars, The kinsects will only level to a max of Level 8 we they can be fed a total of 3 more levels worth, it also shows you what the levels are on the kinsect as well as the points and finally NO MORE DAMNED MATH GAME, yup Power no longer affects speed, speed no longer affects stamina and stamina no longer affects Power, they are just seperate things now.
Onto Kinsect forms we have a total of 5 base forms, the original Base form, the Power Form, the Stamina Form, the Speed form, the first three Forms become unlocked at Kinsect Level three and gain two more forms available (a note here once you choose say Power, YOU CANNOT GO ANOTHER ROUTE) these two new forms will unlock at level 6 and which ever you pick is your final choice, the final base upgrade is the Balanced Upgrade this requires level 6 as well so YEEEEEEEEEEEAH and it doesn't have an upgraded form
Aside from Kinsect all the nectars appear to be available for trade as well now, after a certain point in the storyline you can multiply them much as the wycoon can multiply shrooms and the like, Bare in mind you must find one at least of each type, Also a specific plant will have Nectars.
