Here's my caramel apples.
Recipe is pretty straightforward.
Get some caramel, two 11 oz. bags, get heavy whipping cream, some peanuts, Granny Smith apples, and some skewers.
Stem the apples, skewer them, side aside for now. Put caramel bits in a bowl in with heavy whipping cream. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring the caramel and heavy whipping cream in between until it becomes nice and smooth.
Crush the peanuts, and then dip the apples in the caramel, cover them, then dip them in the peanuts.
Let them set up in the fridge overnight.
There is a variation on this recipe that also dips the apples a second time, this time in melted milk chocolate, but honestly, this is fire just with the homemade caramel dip and peanuts.
