  • This fan animation of a scene in the comic The Last Ronin, is beautiful. Even Tom Waltz, one of the writers along with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, gave this animation high praise.

I can only hope the film does this just as well!

I can picture Last Ronin talking to himself, cuz..
he spent so much of his life bantering with his brothers, and now they are gone.
Can't wait for the new Walking With Dinosaurs, if this Albertosaurus they reconstructed is anything to go by!

Albertasaurus has special place in my heart, I came to know them more thanks to The Lost World: Jurassic Park Trespasser. Its a FP shooter and explorer game (like Myst), but you have to fight dinos, and Albertasaurus was one of formidable ones you needed one of greater weapons for.
Well, all of my guitars are done!

    Solos, cleans, distorted rhythms, everything!

So, hopefully, this video doesn't show as a random video, because I wanted to share a little taste of what we're working on!

Here's some footage our singer caught of us tracking the bass and guitars for the song "Time Slips Away." I'm the player in the booth with the headphones on. Bear in mind, these aren't the final vocals.

I know I haven't been interacting as much, and that's for a few reasons.

The main reasons are that last Thursday and Friday the band and I have been recording. The studio hours are 8PM to 12AM. We have recording today too, so I'll be leaving to do that soon.

My wife has also been out of town since Wednesday helping her parents move to Pennsylvania. Likely won't be back for another five days.

I ran out of my prescription ADHD medication right as she left, so I've been trying to manage as best I can. This will for sure screw with my sleep schedule yet again, if the late hours for recording didn't do that already.

Some hospital bills went to collections, and my heart rate and stress levels have been sky high since, even had a panic attack over it.

About the only thing keeping me sane are my cats and music.

As someone who owes about $10,000 to the hospital... don't let it get to you too badly, if you can help it. It's not like they can arrest you over medical debt. They WILL hound you, but ignore if you can. Easier said than done to ignore, of course. I will say though, ignoring mine made them finally settle for about $550, which, is obviously ridiculous after they have been calling me non-stop for several years now & mailing me hundreds of notes asking for various lumps of thousands. All that told me is that it never was really 10 grand to begin with (and given how poor the treatment was, I'd agree!).

Harder to do if you already set up payment plans, though, if I recall. So I will add that.

Best chords, in my humble opinion.

    S-Tier (My Favorites):
    • Minor (add9).
    • Diminished 7th.
    • Dominant 7(b9).
    • Dominant 7(#9).
    • Minor/Major 9.
    • Major 7(#11).
    • Augmented 6th.
    • Tritone Substitution.
    • Dominant 7.
    A-Tier (My Silver Medals):
    • Dominant 7sus4.
    • Secondary dominants.
    • Sus4.
    • Neapolitan chord (bII).
    • Half-diminished 7.
    • Minor.
    • Diminished.
    • Major 7.
    B-Tier (My Bronze Medals):
    • Sus2.
    • Major.
    • Augmented.
    • Augmented major 7.
    • Diminished major 7.
Anything below that I've tried, and found I prefer the sound of other chords, with one exception: the harmonic 7th chord, which is the barbershop quartet version of a dominant 7th chord, so for all intents and purposes, the harmonic 7th is a dominant 7th chord, just the b7 interval is about 32 cents flatter than a normal b7.
