yeah i think the thing about it is that people who put out lower quality work could charge more than someone else and that makes one question like how inconsistent the pricing is

though i guess its also up to the person selecting an artist to commission what they deem of an artists' work's quality and if they agree with the price

my sister made someone uncomfortable when she took an art request and didnt accept payment cuz they were just... used to that sort of thing being made in exchange for the art

she settled for being paid in a pack of sharpies since she used sharpies for her art. she sent them the artwork, they sent her sharpies

Thise drawing tutorials where they do the X and the check mark annoy me so much
They always do a 10 second drawing on the X and then for the check spend 5 minutes using layouts and shading. Like, "Wow, I can draw an eye better if I actually put effort into it? What an amazing tip! I see the difference already!"
