Another fanart I found that was cute
I kept waiting for the rest of the image to load, super cute though.

I was gonna point out that Shippo is a canine too, but foxes are actually vulpines.
Funny that he refers to bloodhounds to compliment inuyashas hearing, they're great at sniffing but their hearing not so much. Any dog with ears flopped over instead of upright (especially to the extent of a bloodhounds ears) is hearing impared compared to their pointy eared counterparts, floppy ears is a genetic mutation that only spread through human breeding. Also most canines are omnivores, I can't think of a single species that is carnivorous exclusively.

So i looks like I'm being temporarily promoted to Visual Merchandiser, because our regular one is on leave. Which is cool but also kind of yikes because the assistant VM, who is training me, got months of training from him and is about to get 3 weeks of training, some even out of state, for the same job at another target. Meanwhile I'll get roughly 50 hours of training before taking his job. But there's a raise involved for the time that I'm covering him so can't complain

What exactly does that entail?
Honestly not 100% sure of all of it, there's a lot, but it's mainly gonna be setting the floor when new sections are added in style (often) which means putting shelves together hanging up signs blah blah blah. Sounds EZ on the surface but there is a ton of stuff to do so you really have to budget your time, and then there's some other obligations like dressing the mannequins up to specs in the planogram or hanging lights from the ceiling to illuminate the right things etc, honestly now that I'm typing it out it really doesn't sound very hard though. The hardest part is going to be knowing what's gonna actually look good when I'm setting things up (as in alignment of shelves and filling space on the floor) I don't have the most creative touch so figuring that out on my own might be a bit challenging. But there are some neat perks,I think I get weekends off, and I get some schedule flexibility (as in I can pick between 2,4, or 6 am), I get to operate the wave and I think I'll be getting a team lead walkie with the extra channels. And a work email account because I guess I need to talk to my bosses about stuff or something idk.

On the surface, that sounds like the difficulty wouldn't be in the work itself but just the sheer volume of it.

Yeah. Today me and the assistant VM were doing some of that for the Halloween family set, and a good chunk of our time was browsing the store for shelf parts that we could steal without it messing up the flow of things too much, then rebuilding the stuff we stole from using different shelf parts that we had more of, because target barely keeps any hardware for some ****in reason. I've been the one tasked with fixture room cleaning for a couple of months and it is smaller than a studio apartment, back during remodel they made me throw sooo many shelves and parts and **** away because we didn't need it at that moment and we can't keep much of it in there, then without fail it's needed after it's gone so more are ordered and the process repeats itself. The metal is recycled, so I don't know why they don't just keep the stuff in a warehouse and send it out when needed instead of melting it down then turning it into more of the same thing (the recycling is probably outsourced actually but still). It's funny af because a lot of stuff comes in these cardboard boxes that we are required to send back for reuse. They get so raggedy and nasty too.
This has turned into a massive rant lol
