He had a traumatic childhood, and then his people abandoned him in his quest to take over the world, then he was stabbed/shot repeatedly and shut in the sacred realm for hundreds of years, I think he has valid reasons for turning to drinking/comfort eating :(

Actually it seems as though robes would make ganondorf seem less chubby and the flowiness would conceal some of the fat while the armor, being form fitting would make him seem fatter

Ganondorf in OoT was immature, cocky, and otherwise very young. Which is why he isn't fat. (Mid 20's)
WW Ganondrof was middle aged man! Of course he gained weight! More realistically, WW's graphics were cartoony and cel-shaded. Skinny or even muscular people did not exactly look good in that art style. So, that could explain it as well.
TP Ganondrof was extremely powerful, strong, and otherwise evil. What you see in TP is not fat, but rather a lot of muscle and armor. He probably gained muscle mass in Arbiters Grounds, considering how it's a prison that probably forces the inmates to do labor.

i always felt that he was too fat in WW. that and his amazing agility just didn't make any sense. i don't think he's wearing any armor, even if you are wearing clothes over it, it doesn't look like that. i think they made him that way because the art style suited it more. ganondorf just looks out of shape and non-intimidating, i've never seen an intimidating fat guy.

I don't think that he's fat. It looked like he had more muscle in WW instead of fat. Nintendo may have done that to make him more menacing. In TP, I don't know why he wasn't as fast but I just saw videos instead of battling him myself.

Well, I think he is kind of fat, I was even surprised when I saw him like that in WW for the first time.
I think that Nintendo's intention making him like this was make we see him in a different way. I don't know if anyone have noticed, but Ganon's personality in WW was different from his personality in other games, and I think his chubbines helped getting across his new personality.

And I never thought TP's Ganon was fat or chubby ><

Well, Ganondorf's Pretty chubby in TP. It doesn't mean he can't be tough. Think of Snorlax in Pokemon. He's a tank. Once you finally get him down to red HP, He uses rest.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think that the notion that Ganon is fat is kind of a stupid one.

OoT Ganon here is obviously not, no question there.

Same is true with TWW Ganon, sorry to say. Look, TWW had a stylized art-style. Looking at EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THE GAME, the proportions are basically identical to Ganondorf. So is everyone in TWW fat? Obviously not. The notion that he's fat is ridiculous. Also notice that the biggest part of his body is his chest. In fact, his chest has incredible mass, so he's very muscular in TWW. Far more so than OoT. The only part of his belly that bulges does so to meet the shape of his chest, so there's no argument for him being fat here. Here's a second picture that makes it more obvious:

Which means your best example is TP Ganon:

Seriously? That looks fat? He's a big guy, obviously, but I see no fat here. His waist matches the size of his chest, but does not go past it. Actually, I'd say it's a little smaller still. Even if there is a little, pay attention to his pants. They're puffy, and this is true for all of his clothes. Additionally, he wears bulky armor, including plate-mail. While I guess he could be fat under all that, there is no proof whatsoever because of all that armor.

HE. IS. NOT. FAT. >.<

I totally agree. I never actually been in this thread only because I thought it made no sense at all. I never saw Ganon as fat. Only in Wind Waker because he was a big guy, but his body seemed to match the King of Red Lions body (two powerful men in a cartoony art style), I just thought that Ganon looked bigger and bulkier because he's actually a full grown man that wears armor and represents power, while Link is just a kid or teen with little muscle.
