This game had wonderful music in my opinion, and I feel that it fit so well and set the mood incredibly for every instance. Zelda traditionally has amazing music and I feel that Skyward Sword adds a lot to the series in that regard. I don’t even know if I can choose an absolute favorite, but I can certainly name a few that moved me quite a bit when I first heard them, the kind of songs where you want to put down the controller and just listen. The first of those, for me, was the variation of Fi’s theme when you first meet her. That sequence of following her at night with just that music was incredible and had such an air of mystery to it, and it’s honestly one of my absolute favorite moments of the game because of that. They used the music so well to help you feel what you were supposed to feel in those moments (in all of the game, really), and I absolutely love it. Some of my other favorites are the boss and mini boss themes; I really enjoyed those and once again, they set the mood great. Another that I’ve really come to love is just the Skyloft theme. I love the feeling it gives. It’s one of those that I hear and it just kind of makes me a little exited, and it’s quite a sweet sounding song, I think. :> Others I can recall really liking just off the top of my head would be: Sailing the Sand Sea and many other Lanayru Desert songs, the more upbeat sounding Faron Woods, the Levias battle, and many many others. Truthfully, though I thought that just so many of the songs were really great. Even if you don’t think that the songs were necessarily the best in the series, I think you have to see that they just did such an incredible job at setting the tone. But then, when does Zelda NOT do an incredible job? ♥
