Breath of the Wild Early Final Boss

Assuming you are correct for a second here:
This does not mean there is a single method to beat the last boss. There could be different final boss phases depending on how much of the game you've done. This could result in different game endings.
This could be true...
I mean, within story context this would make perfect sense. Because the more time passes, the more that Ganon gets more and more powerful. So, you can go and take Ganon at the start of the game, but he's way to powerful for you.

You can wait, and do maybe a couple dungeons, and then go and best Ganon with proper equipment/powers. This one has more forms to him, and is more powerful.

Or you can do all of the dungeons, Ganon is at his strongest, and so are you. With what could be the most epic final boss fight in the series. Thus getting the true ending of the game.

If your idea is correct, than Zelda Wii U will have more story content to do than every other Zelda game.

Can you please show this source? I watched the livestream and I did not hear this.
"Anybody who can go straight to the goal without doing anything else — there's two possibilities," Aonuma said. "Either they're a really good gamer, or they could be somebody that's a little bit crazy. But it's not impossible. I created the game like that.

Here's the source for you.
There's several you have to watch. A bunch of videos. Sane thing goes for that TP quote.
it was not in the Treehouse live stream. Oh, and I have watched the treehouse stream again as well, and I could find no such quote about TP.

He mentions nothing about "20 minutes" and that is essentially the same article I have in my OP.
Oh no, it's definitely not going to be just 20 minutes.

We know for a fact that the Great Plateu is impossible to get off of until you complete 4 shrines to get the Sailcloth....
Not to mention how long it's going to be to actually get to Ganondorf's Castle, of which you need to go through

This distance is like 4 times that of the Hylian Plateu.... Which will take probably at least 5-6 hours to travel, accounting for enemies, obstacles, not knowing what you are doing, ect.

So yeah... Even with the bare minimum stuff, this games looks to be around 10 hours long(this is about the length of a Link to the Past).

Yeah, so to the point of my OP, I don't think Aonuma meant you can just battle ganon right after waking up. Pretty sure he meant you can get to Ganon without figuring out much of the story.

Yea I am really sure you cannot just go faceroll into Gannon in half an hour. You might make it right up to the castle but I highly doubt you can do much without the right items and unlocked abilities.

in Loz if you were crafty enough you could go right to Ganon's Level, all you needed to open it were bombs. But you could not go more than a room in without the triforce so you had to leave or the old man could kill you. With the candle you could get into lev 8 but you would still die real fast.

I think this level of open endedness is what they were shooting for.

Basically, they give you the means to fight him quickly, but not the proper tools to actually kill him.

I'd like to point out that we don't know anything for certain yet because this isn't the final version of the game. Also for years people thought you had to play through all the dungeons in Ocarina of Time to reach the final boss, and now people can skip from Gohma to the top of Ganon's Tower. I do expect this to be an amazing game for speedrunning due to the openness of the world and what appears to be a lot of optional content. Personally I hope that you can reach the final boss virtually immediately, but that it's absurdly difficult to succeed if you do. For instance a single hit would kill you, you can do very little damage, and you have few options of attack because you skipped most of the equipment in the game. I think it would be a nice nod to speedrunners to make it theoretically possible to beat the boss at the start but practically impossible for all but the most skilled players (like how it took 15 years for someone to beat Silo in Goldeneye on Dark License to Kill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv1h0b8j4C0). In summary I want it to be possible for someone to try to beat the game by skipping to the end, but I want it to be so challenging that the average person playing through the game normally will actually beat it faster.

10 hours for ALTTP? No way. The time is more like 1 minute 58 seconds . . . ok this guy beat ALTTP in 1 minute 58 seconds but the world record is around 1 minute 30.
