[Pen]

"Trapinch, use Crunch!" Narumi exclaimed.

Trapinch ran as fast as it could up the the huge Diglett and took a large bite.

"This is getting a bit intense." Haruka sends her Swampert to attack the giant Diglett
"Attack with Water Gun!" Swampert shoots the giant Diglett with a beam of water.

SInce Cacturne had used Ingrain it wasn't knocked over by earthquake. "Cacturne use Needle Arm, then follow up with a Pin Missle," ordered Expo, "Let's take out this overgrown mole"!

 

[Pen]

"Trapinch, proceed to use Bug Bite!" Narumi called.

Trapinch went up and performed the move, but as it tried to back away from the Diglett again it was knocked across the street by the big Diglett's body.

 

[DekuNut]

The Digglett growled, then used Bulldoze, knocking some of the Pokemon back, including Bob. Joe called him back and sent out Lily, "Use Strength!" he calls to her, "Move that mountain!"

 

[Storm]

Pale uses Thunderbolt. The sky darkens as the bolt seems twice as powerful, channelling it through an Iron Tail

 

[DekuNut]

It had been almost a year, and this thing had yet to die.
Over time, the rest had fallen. Bob had been taken down by a Magnitude. Rasul had been crushed by falling rocks. In the ensuing chaos of the battle, Saffron City had been all but destroyed. Even Sabrina had fallen to the beast, her Psychic-type pokemon no match for its humongous side.
All had run for their lives, but a small group of teenagers. And among them, only one was left.
And with him, only one Pokemon.
Joe looked down at his last Pokeball. He was tired, but he couldn't stop. He didn't know what would happen if this thing left the town.
But there was no way in hell this would work.
Holding his breath and standing on the ruined eighth floor of the tower, Joe released his Magikarp, Merlin. Merlin dropped onto the ground, useless as ever, and stared ahead, directly into the giant eye of his opponent. Merlin jumped around a little, glancing over at Joe in confusion, before turning to look at the giant Diglett.
And then he spit a rock at it.
The stone hit the creature in the eye, making it jump back, but not really dazing it at all. Joe smacked his forehead, before he saw what exactly it was that Merlin had spat.
An everstone.
Merlin began to glow, and then began to grow. His body lengthened. He thickened. His tiny mouth turned into a gaping jaw. And so, as a boy becomes a man, Merlin became a Gyrados.
With a mighty Dragon Rage, Merlin attacks the Diglett, wrapping around the giant beast. It was an epic fight, and no one was sure who was going to win.
The battle lasted long. First minutes, then hours, then days, the two sat, wrapped in combat. It had been a week before finally the fight ended, and the Diglett collapsed to the ground, knocked out.
Merlin had won.

 

[Pen]

Narumi lets out a big sigh of relief. "Finally..." she says under her breath. She had just finished healing all of her Pokémon that had fallen in the great battle. "Nice work, Joe," she says and pats him on the shoulder. "Where to now?"

 

[DekuNut]

"Well, uh, I guess to figure out where the nearest Pokemon center is," Joe suggests, "Back to Celadon maybe?"

 

[Mido]

Garrett nodded. They finally did it!

"Ace, return!" He sent Emolga back into his poke ball. "Alriiiigght!" The young Garrett Juniper cheers.

 

[Pen]

"Why don't we head on over to Lavender Town?" Narumi suggests. "Once we're there we can bring the good news to the Radio Tower so that they can let all of Kanto know about the defeat of the giant Diglett."

 

[Storm]

Koll has no idea what the **** is going on

 

[DekuNut]

"Lavender town sounds fine," Joe agrees, "Let's get going then. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to get out of here."

 

[Pen]

"Definitely," Narumi says shortly and faces eastward to the city exit leading to Lavender Town.

"Lavender town is that place with all the spooky ghosts right? Wonder if we'll see one"
