Pikmin 4 which has been going pretty well so far, only disappointment (besides being a reboot) is that the music pretty lacking, Pikmin 1 - 3 had great soundtracks but 4's feels very background
Also playing Pikmin 4 here, currently in the post-game. I agree with you that it kinda sucks that it's a story reboot, there is no reason to do that at all other than making Olimar seem a tiny bit less bad of a pilot.
Once I'm done with Pikmin 4, I'm going back to TotK to finish that

I'm also playing WoW as I always do, and doing a bit of Age of Empires 3 for my channel.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Man this one is tough. The DS collection I'm playing it on has the ability to load from the beginning of a level, and that's pretty nice. It saves me from having to restart the game every time I run out of lives, but I still have to do the whole level. Currently in act 3 of Marble Zone. Enjoying it. I feel like it doesn't quite take advantage of Sonic's speed enough, but that might partially because I'm afraid to really run fast when I do get a chance because I'm afraid of running into something undesirable.

Fallout New Vegas
Now this is quite the story. I made it onto the Strip and found Benny at the Tops casino. He said he'd meet me up in his room, and I fell for it. Well, after I found out he'd ran off to Caesar's Legion (which I'm planning on joining, hopefully there won't be a conflict of interests there,) the questlog wanted me to search his room. I eventually came across a safe, which needed a lockpick level of 50 to unlock. Ok, no big deal, I can do some sidequests to get some XP. I go to the Crimson Caravans and get work from Alice McLafferty, she wanted me to get a rogue employee fired and buy out Cassidy Caravans. I decided to buy out Cassidy Caravans first, and I went down to the Mojave Outpost to talk to Cass. Well, I had to talk her into it, which also included convincing Ranger Jackson of the NCR to let her leave. Well I eventually discover that Cassidy Caravans had been sabotaged by Crimson Caravans to take out competition. So then I have to help Cass kill McLafferty and the Van Graffs, who supplied the weapons. I go after the Van Graffs first, and that was an ordeal. First I had to run some commands to force a cutscene that wasn't triggering so that I could actually go inside. Then I eventually realized that I wasn't going to be able to win the gunfight, and I'd seen a YouTube video where somebody had hidden in the bathroom and set off a bunch of mines. Well in doing that, I accidentally discovered that you can slip mines into people's pockets and blow them up. I found it wayy to funny the way that Gloria Van Graff went "Oh ****" and just exploded. Well, in doing that, I got enough XP to level up, and foolishly put 3 of the points into guns instead of putting them all into lockpicking, but more on that in a minute. After exploding the Van Graffs, I head down to Crimson Caravans, and after how tough the Silver Rush was, I was very surprised that I was able to just blow McLafferty's head off no problem. Well then I had to kill the rest of the postal service but that went easily enough. So now that Cass is happy, I tell her to wait outside and head back to the Strip. I use my Locksmith's readers to up my stat,,, and I'm at 47. Apparently you can't stack them. Rip. So now I need to get ANOTHER level. Hopefully this isn't like the Orris situation where if I mess it up, I won't get a 2nd chance. Might as well help Elvis get a new brain for his cyborg dog now.

Double post double post

Today in "Chevy discovers core audience gaming: Fallout New Vegas"

I didn't end up getting a new brain for Elvis' robot dog, I was starting that quest but then I had technical difficulties and didn't save when I started the quest, and I also had done some research on the game so that quest is still marked as "to-do." I finally moseyed on down to Caesar's fort, as the Legion is the faction I was wanting to join. Caesar sends me on a quick errand to blow up a facility Mr House had put under the fort, and I kinda sorta considered siding with Mr House but decided to go the explosion route. I got to kill Benny after that so that was cool. I always like when stories start out with one goal, and get caught up in a bigger one, so achieving the original goal is almost a sidenote in the main story. Caesar then tells me to deal with the Boomer clan, through whatever means I deem best.

Well, I figure this is a good a time as any to check out the Strip some, get some caps and whatnot. I speak to a farmer who's having trouble with a sleazy businessman by the name of Heck Gunderson, so I stroll into the Ultra Luxe for the first time to speak with him. Well, after speaking with him, it turns out his son is missing so I do some investigation on THAT and it turns out that the clan running this posh little joint is dabbling in cannibalism. Well long story short I get Mr Gunderson's son out of the freezer, and when I take him back to the lobby a gunfight breaks out. I had a flamethrower I had taken from this White Sock bunch, so I'm throwing that around and accidentally kill Heck but not his son. I instinctively pull a Flowey, but then realized that I should have just left him dead, because that way I'm taking care of the White Hat group but also helping out the farmer that had issues with him. Well, that didn't happen, I reunited father and son, and left the Ultra Luxe kinda unsatisfied, I had gone in to confront a scummy businessman but ended up helping him take down some truly twisted people and letting him get away. Like yeah, I don't really regret any of what I did, I just got so caught up in saving his son I forgot about why I was there in the first place. Never really experienced anything like that in a video game, pretty interesting.

Anyways, tonight I went to speak to Benny's reprogrammed Securitron the Yes Man, and I'm really considering ditching the Legion and just taking Vegas for myself. Would be interesting to get revenge on Benny but end up carrying out his plans.

Currently kind of winning but losing most of the time in the online tournament fights for Mortal Kombat 12 for my Playstation 4. Its been annoying in my opinion where other people online they keep choosing Scorpion and they go overboard with the spears and teleports and combos. Most of the time its the ahole elitists that keep choosing Scorpion and Noob Saibot all the time

Had got a free month worth of gamepass so I tried giving it a fair shake. Not horrendous but easily Bethesda’s most boring and watered down game yet, and that’s coming from someone who already thought Skyrim was bland and couldn’t stomach Fallout 4 enough to finish it. Here you have very limited choice in stats or skills and options in how you might want to build a character or want to roleplay, and none of the space related stuff (the draw of the game) is even engaging enough to be worth the time and effort. The fact the vast majority of planets are procedurally generated makes them entirely pointless, and is basically them shooting themselves in the foot when exploration was one thing they’d previously had going for them. Last draw was around 28 hours in, seemingly near the end of the game and well past the point I was told the game supposedly gets good (wherever that was I must have missed it), got a blue screen and somehow lost 4-5 hours of progress. To me it felt like it was actually getting worse so I finally gave up at that point.

So now I’ve decided to replay Outer Worlds to get that taste out of my mouth. Had gone through a few times back when it released, and while it’s not as good as New Vegas was, still plenty more to enjoy about it such as better writing, characters, companions, much more interesting choices, levels that are at least hand crafted, better setting all around. The fact that I can make characters that play distinctly different from each other should be the standard for these types of RPGs. Excited to play the DLC I haven’t tried before either.

In other news, let’s see. I beat Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and despite some jank, it’s probably my second favorite game this year so far. Great ost, story and characters and just a joy to play with its colorful environments. Sadly I think the last couple levels suffered a bit, maybe they were rushed, but didn’t make the experience awful or anything.

Didn’t realize part 1 the Pokemon DLC came out so soon, and it being one of my favorite games last year I was keen on going back again. Sadly not as good as the base game, very linear and I just feel the area is not as interesting to explore, but still fun in its own ways and good enough story to prop it up. Hoping the next part is better though.

Upon the announcement of Another Code Recollection, I replayed Trace Memory for the first time since it released. It was as short as I remember for sure, but was still fun to go back to. Also couldn’t help myself from watching a longplay of the sequel and sorta spoil myself. Now I’m replaying Hotel Dusk which, while I certainly recall liking a lot, I actually don’t recall a ton of details on. Excited to maybe be able to play it’s sequel as well if I can get it working right.
