What Do You Think Skyward Sword Will Be Rated?

I am guessing T for Teen. I think it will be because it is focusing on swordplay and may have some suggestive themes. Its not like the other Zelda titles didn't have violence in them, but......? Who knows. Its style can be compared to Twilight Princess, which was also rated Teen. But we know ratings......quite strict.

Isn't that... pretty much the same thing I just said here? The post before this one?

By the way, I wasn't meaning to be rude or sarcastic. Just, make sure you check these things before you post, that's all.;)

I'm with everyone here, in that I'd say it's either going to be E10+ or T. Just because it has 'happy' graphics doesn't mean it can't be T. I highly doubt it would be any higher than that. If it did end up like that, I would be a little worried. Likewise, if it were really low. If it were rated E, that would be fine too, but I'd rather E10+ or T.

From what we've seen, I have to agree with JuicieJ (his is the one I saw when I clicked on the thread; other's probably said the same too). The violence we've seen is enough to upscale the E rating, but not realistic or violent-ly enough to warrant a T rating. There could be more we haven't seen that could bump it up, but I believe there is already too much to make it lower than E10+.

I think the game will be much more adult as we seen in the demo or the GDC Trailer. Twilight Princess was the first Zelda Game ever in Germany which received the "12" rating. there is a big chance Skyward Sword will receive the same rating (12 in Germany and Teen in America).

I'm gonna have to go with eC for early childhood... Just kidding, seriously though, By the looks of the graphics, id say it will be no higher than a E10+ rating. T just does not fit. (that would be hararious if there was an eC Zelda game.)

I think it depends on the message of the plot, and certain cut scenes. I think we can safely say it will be E-10 at the least, but I would hope it has a T rating. I mean, I want it not have a simplistic message, I want it somewhat mature, not happy yay~ all the time.

Yeah, this comment was totally unnecessary. It's just him stating his opinions. This isn't some kind of information thread. Whether or not if you meant this rude, it was. It was very rude.

Judging by the Stalfos and the skulls in the room, the more detailed and realistic enemy designs such as the Golden Statue and the Rollobite in the desert, the enhanced swordplay- it could be rated T. The game isn't cel-shaded, and it is possible for them to achieve a dark atmosphere yet still have colorful graphics. I expect a T or E10+ most likely.

JuicieJ, I don't think he was being rude. He has justification to be a little concerned, check the posts:

T for teen. That's my guess. After all, it focuses around swordplay more than any other Zelda game(as far as I know), and that could be considered violent. It's not like all the hacking and slashing wasn't present in all the other Zelda's, but still... You know how video game rating systems are... ridiculously strict.

There are some striking similarities. And he did say he did not mean it rudely, he was just voicing some concern.

Anyways though, I still stand by the notion that it will be rated E10+
