The Gerudo left and notice on Zant's Armor. He has a Gerudo Symbol on it.

Zant praises Ganondorf, who is a Gerudo. thats most likely why he wears a Gerudo symbol on his armor. he follows Ganondorf who is a Gerudo so he wears their symbol. it doesnt mean he is a Gerudo.

Here is one small observation about the Twili: They look nothing like the Shikah.

Here is a member of the Sheikah

Here is a Twili person (Zant without mask, though he is still a Twili).

While I think it is possible that the Twili are either the Sheikah or Gerudo. Couldn't they just be another completely. Not a descendant of any race, but just be a race all their own not descended from any of the races in Ocarina of Time, or any other game. The twili could just simply be themselves in their current forms who were banished because they abused the gifts of the gods/goddesses.

I highly doubt that the shieki where the "dark interlopers" told by Lanayru as the fortune teller lady in castle town has the shieki elbem on her cloths and has red eyes to acompany that, which means she is likely a shieki and is still in the world of light. Also Impaz refers to her name coming from her great ancestor who is obviosly impa. Becuase Impaz also has red eyes it poroves she is also a shieki. However it could mean that not all the shieki where sent to the twilit realm and and also explains why there are very few actual twilli you see while in the twilit realm, becuase there where very few shieki to send there in the first place.

So yes, it is possible that the shieki and twili are one and the same, but I doubt it.

One of the main arguments for this theory is that the Sheikah have red eyes.

Newsflash: red eyes are everywhere in the series. Having red eyes means nothing in terms of connecting races.

i seriously doubt the twili are the sheikah, they just dont look anything alike, and i doubt being banished to another realm would've changed them so drastically, the sheikah look alot like normal hylians, while the twili look nothing like them, midna's true form is the most human looking, but still not a hylian appearance.

also, the twili's buildings look nothing like that of kakariko village, didnt the sheikah build that village? i would also think they'd have some symbols of the sheikah around the twilight palace, but i dont recall seeing anything of the like...

theres not much similarity between the two other than them both being ancient and secretive, not to me, anyway...

As stated before, it is more likely that the Twili are the Gerudo, than being the Sheikah... But they're probably another race, even thought the Gerudo symbol on Zant's armor is a bit suspicious

Well, if the Sheikah are the Twili, I don't think you'd find many similarities. They could've been banished ages ago, and that would have given them time to adapt to their new realm. And if it was so many years after they were banished that the events of TP happened, they themselves might have forgotten that they used to be Sheikah. Yes, it's probably more likely that the Twili are the Gerudo, but I don't see many similarities between them either.

That would make sense except for the fact that when you go into the Twilight Realm all of the Twili that you see, except for Midna, are male. Also he could've had the symbol put on his armor as a sort of blessing or hommage to his god, Ganondorf.

That's true. it was originally a sheikah villiage.

Where do you get that? We see nothing whatsoever to tell us that all of those Twili are male. And you can't compare them to the humans in the game, because they're a totally different species.

Blackice has a point, buti might add up that i laughed at the twili's dumb appearance... But Zant is clearly a male, and we all know that Gerudo chicks only breed a male ever 100 years... Unless.... Being on the Twilight Realm changed that aspect
