Utau sighed in relief. Ikuto walked in, a violin in one hand and a violin bow in the other. Utau smiled. "You helped her. Thanks." Ikuto nodded.
Utau went outside, then overheard some villagers talking.
"Hey, did you hear about the singer for the Sun Festival? I heard he lost his voice."
"Yeah! Now he can't sing for the festival! The chief is hiring for a new singer. Maybe I should try it out."
Utau went into thought. She looked around. Ikuto knew what she was thinking, and pointed to the chief's house. "I'll stay with Maka."
Utau went into the house. The chief stared at her. "And you are?" Utau curtsied. "Utau Hoshina. I heard you need a new singer." The chief nodded. "I've heard of you. But I wish to hear your voice myself." Utau nodded, then cleared her voice and sang for a bit. Once she finished, the chief clapped, a grin on his face. "Amazing! You're in!" Utau smiled. "I even have a new song that's perfect for the festival!" The chief nodded. "It's tomorrow. Get some rest before then."
