Game Thread Square Enix Mafia

Morbid Minish

Spooky Scary Skeleton.
Town roleblocker targets N2 - Min has been quite focused here but I gotta agree with a'lana,I believe it was, that mentioned that town roleblocker wouldn't need to be spitting blocks N2. Feels like role fishing.

Not role fishing. I outed that I was blocked n1. I don't know if it was town or mafia. But if it was town I outlined a way that scum could have been caught by them. If I were a town roleblocker I would have still targeted n2. Roleblockers should only block who they suspect to be mafia anyways. If they hit mafia, nothing happens. If they hit town then town could've claimed being blocked n2 and been confirmed by said roleblocker, which would also eliminate a scum read that said roleblocker was wrong about. I only said that someone should claim if it outed scum in the scenario I posited.

Your methodology doesn't actually out scum though. You are assuming people will be notified they were roleblocked when you claim yourself to only know that your action failed. Somebody with a passive ability like Mikey's miller claim might not get the same notification since roleblockers don't stop miller's from being millers. Which is why I said this smells like role fishing. In one scenario you get no failed abilities claimed and the roleblocker outs themselves. In the other scenario you get an unknown town role confirming they have an active ability that the roleblocker then has to verify, outting two roles.

Yes, but there likely aren't many passive roles in this game. Even Mikey himself has claimed some upside to his role, that we don't know if it's passive or not. Mikey has claimed miller already and Raven survivor. It's unlikely that a town roleblocker would go for one of them. And out of the rest of people it's likely the majority, if not all, aren't passive. We already know that Rag isn't, I'm not, I feel like Ex isn't from what he said earlier but I'm not sure on that, one would be the roleblocker, presumably 3 mafia, I think that leaves like 4 other people left I think. Pretty good odds of not hitting a passive role. And in the chance they did and roleblocker outed, we don't know what other town roles we have and neither does mafia so they either don't nk them, or rb can be doc'd/watched/etc. Town rb can find scum potentially, but they can also hinder important town roles, so if mafia wants to nk them so bad it's not the worst thing. It's not outing two roles if a townie confirms they have a non-passive role. Confirming two town that way seems like a good pay off.
