Do you want to see an explorable ocean/s in the next Zelda game?

And if so, which timeline and which world?

Yes. When Aonuma first teased LBW as a game where "3D will mean something" I guessed it would be either underwater or in space (much more likely the former) and I think that's a good idea. As for timeline position, the Great Sea would be an excellent candidate, finding relics of old Hyrule. Or maybe that would be an awful place, since it was supposed to be "erased"...

Ever since its ending, I have always wanted to see another quest in The Wind Waker's Great Sea on the Adult Timeline. And with the given timeline, a return to Hyrule could certainly be possible. I can't be the only one here who was slightly disappointed to see that Hyrule, the Triforce, and the Master Sword were all lost beneath the sea in the first installment of this timeline. And while I loved the ending, I still felt that there should be more.

I would much rather have a lake than an ocean. Something like Lake Hylia in Twilight Princess would be perfect. It kind of makes the game more balanced between land and water.

Something similar to Lanayru Sand Sea would be an excellent substitute as it still requires water travel and you can still travel in other forms throughout the world.

For me, travelling by just ocean was boring and seemed to get old quickly. It took forever if you weren't using a speed run tactic and the view was a little bland. There wasn't much to look at on the ocean so having something like a lake or the Sand Sea would be a little more suitable for keeping the players interested and not dreading the travel as I much did on the ocean.

I would prefer a lake to an ocean. I hate oceans, apart from maybe Great Bay and that was a limited ocean. If I have to see another game where a large part of it is spent in transport- sailing, by train, etc- I swear to god I will throw up.

I want a nautical Zelda. One where say all the various peoples are split into separate islands, but I want it to be much bigger than WW, and in a more TP-style. Give it new lands, dock, cities, and islands that are, say, the size of Hyrule field in OoT. It could be a new and exciting take on the nautical Zelda a great demonstration of the wii u's abilities.

Also, the number of options on this poll is too damn high!

I don't think the sea theme has much mileage left after two games using it, but involving minor sea travel could add some variety. One way would be to have a whole part of the map working under that theme (I like theme maps as long as they don't look like gimmicky theme parks and keep at least some illusion of geographic plausibility), using an ocean to separate regions (not like Wind Waker, I mean large islands rather than small bits of land... if we ever get a map that big, that is) or just using the theme on a dungeon. Either way I'm not exactly against the idea of a whole game using it, but given how Nintendo has handled the series for a while, I can't help thinking they would use it as the game's main gimmick.

I'm pretty much over oceans. I wouldn't mind something like the Great Bay or a really huge lake/river to explore, but I prefer most of my adventuring to be done on land.

I would like to see an ocean of lava. My idea for the new Zelda Wii U game would to give Link a tunic that allows him to go underlava without being hurt. With this tunic, he can now swim through lava. And he can also wear his iron boots to drop down through this ocean of lava without being burned.

No the last "new zelda game to release was a remake of wind waker so we all just got done sailing for hours yet again. Please give us a few years before you pull that on us again.

I'd like the ocean to return. Especially when The Wind Waker was the only game in which it really felt like you were going on an adventure. Seeing all of the islands in the distance, stealing from ships, finding treasure and extra equipment...
It was all really well executed except for the sailing, it was kinda slow and annoying how you couldn't access most of the areas until you progressed through the story. If the ocean did return maybe it could improve on these issues.

For it's setting I guess a game between Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks where they find the new continent would be cool.
