While I don't agree with classifying the Switch as an 8th gen system, it has outpaced the sales of all 8th gen consoles at this point in their lives so far in the U.S. Over 8.7 million Switches sold in the U.S. alone with over 3 million copies of Smash Ultimate already.

Officially it's the 2nd highest console seller for November in the US. The PS4 sold slightly more. However all 3, PS4, XBox1 and Switch all sold more than 1.2m units in November. However that was a 75% or more year on year growth for Switch console sales when compared to last year November in the US. The PS4 and Xbox1 both had a slight year on year decrease when compared to last november in the USA.
I do think the December figures when they are released for the USA will show the Switch totally killing it. The Japan figures for the weeks on and after Smash Bros launching really got Switch consoles moving. Huge growth there. It seems lots of people were waiting for Smash Bros to get a Switch.
I will say in my opinion Smash Bros Ultimate is my personal game of the year. You can't beat 3m sales in the USA, 1.2m sales in Japan, almost 1m sales in the UK and who knows how many in Europe and Australia. The game itself though not perfect is still damn good.

That rumor seems really unlikely. I was thinking it seemed at least plausible until I read Nintendo Land. That game was made to show off the Wii U hardware. No way it gets ported.

The titles feel way, way off to me.
Wonderful 101 has a chance but only the port, no sequel but that's it on the list.
Also which Rayman Trilogy?
Unless they release a gamepad like controller it is impossible to port Nintendo Land since most games require it.
Quite a few youtube channels are sharing this. The actual source of this is not really listed. It's just youtube channels quoting each other without giving a website link for any sources.
I still think it's worth discussing. Even the bad rumours are still fun to read to see how madly people get it wrong.
Apart from Mario Sluggers, there's nothing new there (even that is not too unexpected.) As in nothing that people can't make up on the spot. It's like they checked off a how to make a rumour list or something.

I for one think that the rumor is plausible. Super Mario sluggers I could care less about, sport games aren't my jam (although I won't say no to some wii table tennis). Luigi's mansion 3 I've already heard things about so that's believable. Yosh bear gets a crafted world which we all will get to see in another Yoshi themed new Smash Bros stage this is old news. Wonderful 101 idk what that is so no comment. Mario and rabbits 2, yeah idk about that one, the first one really didn't come out too long ago so that one's a little iffy for me. Joker+pihrana plant+some witty way to re introduce stage builder into the game sounds good. Legend of Zelda, idk I would hope that they would make an original 2d game instead of revamping links awakening (although I wouldn't be mad because I will never finish the original black and white one, im spoiled on HD). Sonic eh whatever they might idk. Animal crossing sure. Nintendo land ok I gotta get a new paragraph for this one hold up...
Ok so as I was saying, Nintendo land was more than a Wii U showcase (ok It was but chill. hear me out) I think it had a lot more value as a party game because the games were actually fun and enjoyable. so maybe some of the features will have to be changed but I think that there will be a whole new slew of games perfect for the switch. I can the Zelda and Metroid minigames coming back as well as maybe a few new ones. I think that Nintendo will not be stupid. they will make the game fun and entertaining like the last one was because of the power of friendship or something ok rant over.

All this to say, it's plausible. don't discount it for one game.
Wonderful 101 was a game that released early in the WiiU's lifetime. The rumour says the WiiU game will be ported and also mentioning a sequel.
Yeah, there are some pretty blatant omissions in that list. For example, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Daemon X Machina were shown at E3, but neither of them have a solid release date. The list mainly consists of unsurprising ports and sequels, so I hope it's either incomplete or untrue.

Narrator: You may recall that two previous characters were announced as DLC fighters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Piranha Plant, from the Super Mario series, and Joker from the Persona series. We hope both will bring lots of incredible fun into your epic battles, and we’d like to share some extra information. Piranha Plant is scheduled for February 3rd. Physical owners of the game will have until January 31st to register their Smash copies in order to receive Piranha Plant for free. If you’ve bought digital, you’re already set for Piranha Plant! For this installment of the beloved series, plenty of changes were made to provide the best new experience possible! Players will take part in a Community Board, where each will be allowed to take on individual Public Works Projects in the name of city’s Mayor and new Vice Mayor, Tortimer and Isabelle. Main Street has been moved into the town for faster access, and similar stores have been condensed. The newly formed Summer Haven is a warm forest reserve headed by the outdoorsman, Harvey. Here, you’ll be able to interact with villagers that are taking a vacation both from your town and beyond. You’ll also be able to catch rare bugs here. You can also buy furniture and other goodies here with the MEOW coupons. This time, MEOW coupons are given by the villagers for doing favors and keeping the town clean. Keep them happy! In Nook’s Homes, you can now perform renovations to your home and change its appearance at the same time! Now, your encyclopedia of fish, bugs, and fossils will note which species have been donated to the museum for easy collecting! Remastered graphics, improved controls, and much more will make this the way to play Rayman, anytime, anywhere. And by scanning compatible amiibo, Rayman will be change his look ingame to match the character. And for those of you with an art side, a Rayman Creator will allow you to create your own custom Rayman design. By scanning the new Rayman amiibo, you can save this new design and bring it to a friend’s house, allowing you to play as your Rayman, even when you don’t have your Switch. Narrator: Here’s a brand new look at the new Luigi’s Mansion: Hotel of Horrors. Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, Professor E. Gadd, and Toad find themselves offered a mysterious free vacation at a hotel, but all is not as it seems. Overnight, the others are captured by the ghosts of the hotel, led once more the frightening King Boo. It’s up to Luigi to save his friends with E. Gadd’s new Poltergust G-00. Throughout the hotel, Luigi will fight dangerous boss ghosts that will test his worth, but completing these will allow him to rescue one of the others. Upon rescue, they’ll team up with Luigi and bring new abilities to explore the hotel with. Don’t be scared though, Luigi is still the star! It’s just dangerous to go alone, after all! All this and more when Luigi’s Mansion: Hotel of Horrors sucks up your time on April 23rd.

Narrator: Animal Crossing is all about the quiet life, and that’s what coming in Animal Crossing: Back to Basics. For this installment of the beloved series, plenty of changes were made to provide the best new experience possible! Players will take part in a Community Board, where each will be allowed to take on individual Public Works Projects in the name of city’s Mayor and new Vice Mayor, Tortimer and Isabelle. Main Street has been moved into the town for faster access, and similar stores have been condensed. The newly formed Summer Haven is a warm forest reserve headed by the outdoorsman, Harvey. Here, you’ll be able to interact with villagers that are taking a vacation both from your town and beyond. You’ll also be able to catch rare bugs here. You can also buy furniture and other goodies here with the MEOW coupons. This time, MEOW coupons are given by the villagers for doing favors and keeping the town clean. Keep them happy! In Nook’s Homes, you can now perform renovations to your home and change its appearance at the same time! Now, your encyclopedia of fish, bugs, and fossils will note which species have been donated to the museum for easy collecting!
