Well, I have access to a ceramic workshop right now so I thought it would be fun to make something special and personal by myself, or maybe just learn something new and kill some time. So far I have already made a bunch of items, some of them are zelda related or inspired, and I'm going to post the pictures of them here as I go along. should be an interesting read for you guys.
Almost all of them are unglazed and it's going to take a long time since I'm going to experiment a lot with different recipes, but I'm not in a hurry anyway and I think I can get them all done within this year.
Also, you can visit my deviantArt gallery as well but it will mostly be the same, and I tend to post only finished stuff on there.
First up: Majora's mask:
This is actually the very first item I made in clay, I knew absolutely nothing about the personality of earthenware clay at that time and kept rewetting the greenware so I could make modification on details, then the water started to break down the clay and all the tentacles fell off. But it doesn't matter because it looks rubbish anyway, I kept it to use as a test piece for the glazes.
Naturally I made another one afterwards, which is much better looking and is still in one piece, so far so good.
A rupee, actually harder than I thought to make, it's not that easy to make two halves line up.
