So sorry to bring it to you but Midna was already married. The whole story is filled with this! You see, Zant was her husband but he got annoyed by the way his wife and in-laws treated him. Midna was a royal but Zant wasn't. So they used him as a servant rather than son-in-law. He got so mad and upset he searched for help and then.....Big G, a lawyer, appeared and promised him to help him getting out of this marriage. First Zant turned Midna into an imp so she wouldn't be able to warn the family. Then he took the mirror the royals used as a communication device. Pre- phone era so to speak. He helped Big G to gey through so Big G was able to open his lawyer department in Hyrule. Midna was shattered by this betrayal so she spied on Zant and used Link to find him. Zant wanted to give their marriage a second chance and would use wolf Link as their pet. Midna agreed silently and took Link, after they puzzled the mirror back together, home to the twilight realm. Link witnessed the couple's banter which turned into a war. Midna killed Zant in the process making Link fear for his life next. When Zelda and Link escorted Midna back to the mirror Midna wanted to say something to Link but decided not to do this. What she wanted to say was:" Link, thank you for helping me to get rid off my husband" but she realized in time Zelda wasn't aware of this and this could complicate things between hylians and the twili further.

He really should have been the sole villain of TP. He is such a great character from his design to his two personalities. It would have been neat to explain he is a full blooded Interloper, his tribe leading the war in heaven, that would explain his tendencies and why Ganon could manipulate him.

I wish Zant and Midna Full Form could have faced off:



That Midna Full Form was playable with Link in how she is playable in Imp form on Wolf Link.

I know it's a spin-off but in Hyrule Warriors you can fight Zant as true form Midna. Of course you can also fight her as Zant. They do make comments about each other.

I agree with you about Zant. He was such a great villain. He could've been so much more interesting if Big G didn't spoil it. I like Zant. He's one of my fav villains alltime. It would've been really interesting if you would be able to fight him off as true form Midna. One of the biggest showdowns ever!!

Awww.. I imagine we would have plunged the forums into Twilight haha in that our passion for the characters would be fire.

Its my fault I am so late to this.. when TP came out I reacted to Link becoming a Wolf, and Sonic The Hedgehog as a Werehog a few years later, I unfairly judged that the developers were turning all the game heroes into creatures they had never been and so I missed out on TP fever. I am kinda like that.. late to the party, I mean I just discovered U2, and I had the iPod signed by Bono and the Band for many years. XD

Yes it is on the switch. The title is Hyrule Warriors. The other one is Age of Calamity but that's the BotW version.

I came late to the party as well though. Although TP was released in 2006 and I entered the world of Zelda in 2008. So it's better to be late than never
