More character development, so you actually feel like you know the characters. Every once in a while you get that one game where there's a single character they actually develop. Like Groose in Skyward Sword, but he was the only one in that game. I mean, seriously, I play through Wind Waker and I'm just waiting for the cutscenes to finish most of the time, as awesome of a game that is. It's not like I want TOO much development though, or else it will seem like a mob of girls is chasing after Link. Just imagine how terrible it would be if they had added a bunch of that to Ocarina of Time. It would seem like a freaking harem anime. It's just not one of Zelda's strong points to make you feel attached to a certain character.
Oh yeah, and a good partner, and not someone who's there for the sole purpose of giving you information. Midna kind of did that, but for some reason people still ended up hating her even though she was the best partner in the series in my opinion. Really, just look at Fi or Navi. Would you rather have a robot or a fairy that seems practically invisible that BOTH give you obvious information?
I also hope they DON'T add a jump button or voice acting. If they add a jump button, they'll add more tedious jumping puzzles and it will seem more like a Mario game than a Zelda game, and the lack of voice acting is also a Zelda thing. I'm just not too fond of the idea.
