Of course this topic all depends on the type and longevity of the game that one plays. So I'm just talking generally.
This also doesn't solely apply to the game and one's skill, but instead how dedicated you are to actually playing the game, so this thread isn't necessarily related to in-game time, but more so in real time. I remember I used to complete games within a couple of weeks of purchasing, now though I take a long time. I remember buying Bioshock Infinite by its release date and I ended up completing it several months later. Don't get me wrong it's a great game, but nowadays I tend to take my time with games and I'm pretty unmotivated when it comes to completing them :/
