All of these games deserve HD remakes on the Wii U. IMO. Yes, even Ocarina.

When I was a little kid, I had the best time playing video games that were downright terribly made. A good example was Lord Of The Rings: Return of the King for the Gamecube. I have no idea why I had so much fun with that, there's probably a big chance that it was the first game I played that involved killing people.

Another game that had huuuge sentimental value to me, and still does, is the original Sonic Adventure. That game blew my mind. The fact that one was able to play as Tails in 3D was amazing to me. Growing up, Tails was my favorite video game character, probably because I could relate to him. Strange as it sounds, me and my older brother growing up had a Sonic/Tails friendship.

I doubt I could list all my favorite childhood games (there were a lot) so I'll just name a few of them.

Super Mario Brothers
Super Mario Bros. 3
Tetris (NES)
Ocarina of Time
Donkey Kong 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Super Mario 64
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Most of the Zelda games I started playing much later.

Here you go, my childhood in video game form. No real order to this list…

Quest 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Stadium
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Ogre Battle 64
Mischief Makers
Banjo Kazooie
Yoshi’s Story
Super Mario 64
Harvest Moon 64
Kirby 64
Mystical Ninja (that’s one exiting title)
Gex 64
Jet Force Gemini
Pokemon Yellow Version
Final Fantasy VII

…Only two non-Nintendo 64 games are on the list. That’s just because for the longest time that’s all we owned. A few games from the NES/SNES eras could make the list, as I enjoyed playing them at one of my friend’s houses… but I mix up which games they were in my head since I was so young….

I suppose I could’ve extended this and added some Gamecube and PlayStation 2 games, since I guess part of that could be considered childhood, too.

Mainly Final Fantasy 4, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Sim City, Mario World - all on the SNES

So many other memories with various other games, including NES games.

I remember playing Ninja Turtles 1 on the NES at my babysitters when I was either 3 or 4, and its probably my first memory of my life.
My babysitter always played Dr. mario.

My older brother would always rent games, which was awesome. My Mom liked to played the Castlevania games on NES. Castlevania 4 was mindblowing.

I could go on and on.... they are some of my fondest memories.
