Create a New Race or Expand on the Old One

A few months ago, I started a thread about creating a race. Immediately people instead posted "Just rely on ones that are introduced in Twilight Princes".
First off, I'm REALLY upset with that. The idea was to be creative and create a race and instead I have people saying no. I'm going to eventually do it again, but when I do hope I'll see actual ideas.
Second, I decided to take a look at some races that were introduced more recently.
Should Nintendo decide to create more new races for the next game? Or, would you prefer they bring back an already introduced one and expand on them, like say the Yetis?

I would rather they expand old races rather than create new ones....assuming of course, they never use the Rito again. *shudder*
