[Azure Sage]

I had to draw the Azure Silvia fist bump from DD2. I just had to.



Took some liberties to make them more compliant with their designs as ocs, like with the hair and parts of the armor. It was a real struggle to get the hands and the positioning and stuff... But I'm really happy with the results. I wanted to give up a few times in the beginning, but I'm glad I stuck with it. It was worth the effort.

Tweyen from Granblue Fantasy that I drew on Friday. I used one of her dialogue portraits from Relink as a reference. Tried to practice faces from a different angle but I had a hard time and ended up defaulting to centering it... but I think it still looks good.

Another Aoife. She's so fun to draw...



A proper Zoie. I like how he came out. The first time I tried to draw him was that concept art for The Concerto of Spirits from a few months ago, and that... didn't turn out well for him. But this was my first complete sketch of him. This one is based on his fit in Elden Ring, featuring the Sanguin Noble's Robe and the Axe of Godrick. His hair was the hardest part... curly and wavy hair is tough..

My favorite Aoife of the three I've drawn recently. I tried to express how bouncy and free she is as a floaty gravity-manipulating gal... I kinda wanna add to this one and try to draw her body and clothes, as well, to further express it. But I'm worried I'll ruin it if I try to add more stuff.

Another sketch of Korra from today. I wanted to practice her bouncy waves in her hair again. I think I'm settling on them. Also went the extra mile and added some swords of nonspecific design just to make it a bit more interesting.

Here's a new sketch of Silvia from today, modeling her armor off her DD2 fit again.




I think this is my best one of her lately... I'm super pleased with how it turned out.

I fear that my little art renaissance is at an end... today was the last full day of the school year, so no more time in art class with my students to do stuff like this. I should really get off my butt and start drawing at home in my sketchbooks again... I also need to keep writing too. But alas, when I'm home, all I wanna do is game. But I will try to keep up my creative endeavors...

I got some new pens so I decided I wanted to try inking a drawing. I practiced this by drawing Azure as he appeared as Alphonse back in The Hero of Spirits.



I like the pens a lot... The lines are super clean and bold.

However I really don't like the drawing itself. It looks like something I would've drawn 3 years ago... I feel like I regressed and I don't like it. I wonder if it was the size of the paper... I went back to the old sketchbook I used to use and I was feeling pretty cramped... I have a bigger sketchbook that's the same size pages as what I was doing all those recent drawings on, so I'll try again tomorrow maybe.

Tried again in the bigger sketchbook with much better results. Maybe the size of the paper is making a difference after all... Anyway, let's meet a new oc named Morgan Burgundy!



I really like how the pens are working for my lining. It makes the shading pop, too. They're fun to use.

You may notice he resembles a certain other oc of mine... There's a lore reason for that. Morgan is going to lead the next Zelda fic I have planned after The Concerto of Spirits is finished, so look forward to that! In the meantime I just needed to give this lad an outlet.

More art for my zelda fics... I tried to draw Sitri Beldine from The Concerto of Spirits again and she came out a lot better than the first time I tried.



Using the pens just for lining and not shading is also really good... So glad I bought those. As a descendant of Alphonse's she's got the same eye color (gold) but also the same eyebrows... Korra also has those eyebrows and so does Morgan. Maybe his brows were the strongest dominant trait...

Here's more art for The Concerto of Spirits. This time it's Mikhaeyla, Sitri's aunt.

Pretty pleased with this. Can't believe it's been almost a year since the last time I tried to draw her... I went for a different expression this time and I thiiiink it turned out well.

I did some more drawing today. First thing I did was warm up with a quick sketch of EoW Zelda.



She's ready for her new adventure! That was fun, but then I moved on to the main thing I wanted to do today... I wanted to try and draw Mikhaeyla again since I felt like I could do better than the last one. And I think I did.



This took me an hour and a half. The angle was. not easy. very difficult, in fact. But I had a vision and I really wanted to push through and do it. And I'm really happy with the end result. I think this is on the higher end of the art I've done this year. I think I really do better in the bigger sketchbook after all...
