A pained look appears on Dean's face when his nut sack is crushed by the club, "That was gonna be my lunch!" he throws his second dagger at that guy.

"Foe," Dean says, "Definitely foe," he throws the dagger in his left hand, slicing off the right ear of one of the blue men. He yells and grabs the side of his head, in pain and surprise.

As Dean grabs his knives, he drops his bag of goods, and suddenly a glint appears in his eyes. He's going to beat these guys down with his nut sack.

"Looks like the Pastel Patrol's caught us," Dean gives a grin and moves his hands away from his body to show that he isn't reaching for a weapon, meanwhile dropping a knife from each sleeve, "I love this job."

Dean shakes his head. That stuff isn't going to last very long on the road. Instead, he walks to a stall that looks to be manned by a farmer, "Do you carry nuts or anything of that sort?" he suggests. "'Fraid not," the farmer replies, "Ya'd have to go to his stall for that," he suggests another...

((Yeah, he is. Darkell's from another RP I was replying to around the same time :P)) Dean nods and the two start hunting for a general store or a marketplace or something. After some searching, they finally find an open-air market on the south side of the city. "Let's see what they've got."

Dean nods, "I'm gonna go find a place to get rations. Anyone want to join me?"

((So, uh... anyone know what were doing?))

Dean didnt notice anything off. It may be his lack of magical ties, or the fact that nothing bad or evil ever seemed to phase him. Or it could be that he was distracted by shiny things.

Dean continues towards the city, "C'mon, let's see what we've got."

Dean shrugs, "I've grown used to insult," he starts towards the city, "You guys heard of this place before?"

Dean is able to catch himself, landing pretty softly, and watches the merchant run by, surprised. He stands up and brushes himself off, "This trip is just full of surprises, ain't it?"

"Im good with killing things," Dean agrees, "Just, ah... maybe lets not cut open more bags of smelly puss and rot. Its disgusting."

Dean makes sure he has all his blades in check, then starts walking away. The group would follow, so why wait? And then he stops, realizing he doesn't actually know which direction to go. He slowly saunters back to the group, "Yeah, let's head out."

Dean looks at the cat. He believed him, even if it was because he wasn't sure the cat was intelligent enough to come up with a lie. Add to that the fact that it was inconsistent with the magic he'd seen Mogget use in the past. He pondered for a moment, "It wouldn't surprise me if this so-called...

"There, was that so hard?" Dean mocks the creature and kneels down next to it, patting its head in a patronizing fashion.

Dean growls when he's called a demon, "The only reason we're cruel to others is because others are cruel to us. We're treated like animals and so we become them... and the only reason I want to slice you up is because of the words that are coming out of your ugly face. So don't piss me off...

"Well, one is better than none," Dean walks closer to the troll and leans over him, "So what can you tell us?" he tosses his knife in the air playfully.

Dean picks up his last knife and wipes the blade on his shirt as he walks towards the two, "Why not? It can talk after all."

Dean steps forward, towards a soldier directly in front of him, in sticks a knife into its back, severing the spinal column. Before the creature can fall, he grunts and shoves it towards another small group. The thing was surprisingly light - after all, it was dead, dry, and rotting - but the...

Dean takes his knives in hand and goes melee for this fight. Stabbing a knife into the stomach of one creature, he slices, forming a large gash where... things... start to fall out. Theyre rotting, smell terrible, and he immediately regrets his decision. Even so, he turns to the next one...

Dean looks at Sol, "She has a point. And besides - as they say, alls fair in love and war. And this sure as hell is war," he turns and throws a knife hidden in his sleeve, tearing straight through the neck of its target. Time to play.

"But theyre like all the way over there... and if we have you doing that, why risk our lives getting closer just now?" He gives a glance to Sol when he says that, "Well then Mr. Ears sir, what is it they're doing?"

Dean looks at the cat, incredulous to his words, "And, uh, how exactly do you know that?"

Dean was skeptical of all this, but he said nothing. He was never fond of magic, nor had he ever practiced it, but decided that the elf was filling their heads with complete BS. Trees dont talk. Or have magic. Or eat people. This was so stupid. He continued the trek silently.

"So," Dean asks, "How exactly will we know whem we find this place? Are the trees purple and the grass pink or something?" He did like the colorful aspects of their current surroundings, and he wasnt complaining, but it was at its base a legitamite question.

Dean's lying awake, unable to sleep. He has a job, and he know he has to do it. His target should be in this area, but his contacts had neglected to give him a name. Because of course they did. Flipping elves. He rolls over, eyes shut. Let's hope they're over at that army thing the others...

Dean sees a goblin in front of him collapse with an arrow stuck in the back of its head. Looking up, he sees the elf, bow in hand. He continues fighting, his life a little easier now. The goblins went down one by one, either by arrow or blade.

Dean stands up and begins to realize that showing up in the middle of the army was a terrible idea, because there are people on all sides of him. He takes a stab at a nearby goblin and tosses the bleeding body into another few. Jumping over the collapsed goblins, he makes for a nearby tree...

"I'll go keep watch," Dean tells them, "See how far out those goblins are, how long we have," he starts towards the edge of camp. He was being serious about this. He had no reason for these people to die yet, and actually the opposite - he had a good repoire with the reigning elves, and helping...

((Squabbles at Kris)) Dean shakes his head, "Would it kill them to have some subtlety?" He gestures to Khana, "Let's go. See what we can find. He's surprised that Aedrie came back, and knew she didn't like him, but he kept his cool. He gave her a curt not as he headed for the other tents.

Dean sees her disapproval and he shrugs at her, "It's a selfish world Khana. Besides... it's not like they're using them any more," he follows her.

Dean walked back to Khana, loot intact, "Where'd everyone go?"

Dean begins collecting the daggers in the battlefield, and maybe looting the bodies for their goods when he thinks nobody's looking.

"I wish the arrow had killed me," Dean mutters to himself, shuffling in the opposite direction from those two, "Khana? I suggest you don't turn around."

Dean looked down at the scar. He touched it softly, "Thanks," he said, "Still hurts like hell, but I'm not dying now," he slowly makes his way to his feet, grimacing a little.

Dean shrugs, "I've had worse," he clears his theist, "Riq! Get over here!"

Dean snaps in front of his face, "Dude, bleeding out here. Be horny later. Now what can Riq do?" He grimaces as he accidentally shifts his leg

Dean grunts loudly as it happens. He nods to Barasolas in thanks and reaches down to find the wound. In finding it, he presses down on the hole, giving it pressure.
