as a really weird appeal to sympathy. I've seen it work several times, people go Q_Q this person doesn't wanna be lynched! and unvote. And I get it, being RVS'd day 1 sucks. Happened to me a time or two before. But the excessive joking (to seem light hearted) and appeal to sympathy makes me feel like you don't want to get lynched for more than just "it sucks". My guess is you're an important townie PR or scum. Right now, I'm gonna go with the latter.
