Energetic Rhino Beetle is an insect and rare material found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Energetic Rhino Beetles can typically be found on the sides of trees at night or early morning around Hyrule, commonly in Faron, Akkala Highlands, or West Necluda. They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 30 Rupees each. Cooking them with monster parts results in a stamina recovery elixir.

Additionally, these beetles are used to enhance the Hero of the Wild Set (acquired after completing all 120 shrines in the game) to the max. For stage three, a total of 15 beetles are required. Link can acquire more than enough of them in the Rok Woods and the surrounding forested areas. These insects are sensitive to movement, both from monsters in the area and Link. A high-level Stealth effect will help Link to sneak up on them, which can be induced through either armor or an elixir.

The Energetic Rhino Bettle is 077 in the standard Breath of the Wild Hyrule Compendium.

Location

They can be found in Faron, West Necluda, and Akkala Highlands. The beetles are mostly active during the night perched on tree trunks, and can be found by using the Sheikah Sensor. However, they are both shy and flighty, and can be placed higher than Links reach, requiring him to jump, which in turn may spook them. On top of that, they are also difficult to spot to begin with. As such, it's recommended to approach them with stealth gear, or having consumed stealth-enhancing meals.

Energetic Rhino Beetles can typically be found on the sides of trees and large pieces of fallen wood at night or early morning around Hyrule, particularly in Bronas Forest and the forested areas of Great Sky Island. As before, it is advised to take a picture for the Hyrule Compendium at the first opportunity, for use with Sensor +, as they can be relatively difficult to spot directly.

There is a 1% chance that they will be dropped by a defeated Evermean, which have a low chance to drop any kind of beetle. They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 30 Rupees each, and Eryck sells one at a time for 150 rupees. Cooking them with monster parts results in an Energizing Elixir, which refills some of Link's Stamina Wheel when consumed.

Nine are required to enhance the Hero of the Wild Set to ★★★, three each for the Cap of the Wild, Tunic of the Wild and Trousers of the Wild.
