Diamond is a material found in several The Legend of Zelda games.
Breath of the Wild
"The most precious gem one can find in Hyrule, its signature sparkle has charmed Hyruleans for generations. As such, it has sold for a very high price since ancient times."
Diamond are the rarest of the Gems found in Breath of the Wild. Only a select few of them are found in the overworld Chests, located near Hyrule Castle, and on the outskirts of the map, in the Hebra Tower and Wasteland Tower regions. They can also be found occasionally from mining Rare Ore Deposits, from the Rare Stone Talus, or from the following side quests:
- Luminous Stone Gathering: Ledo in Zora's Domain will give Link one diamond in exchange for ten Luminous Stones. The first time only, to complete the quest, he will give Link a second diamond; but there is no practical limit to the number of diamonds Link can ultimately get provided he can mine the stones. Ledo can be found near the entrance of the Domain, doing some handiwork on a pillar.
- Rushroom Rush!: In exchange for 55 rushrooms, Pirou at the Gerudo Canyon Stable will give Link a diamond. This trade is a one-off - subsequent times, he will pay 165 rupees per 55 rushrooms.
- The Weapon Connoisseur: Showing the last weapon in the quest, an Ancient Short Sword, to Nebb will lead him to give Link a diamond.
Diamonds are required as part of the payment to remake any of the Champions' weapons. Link must also supply three diamonds to have a Diamond Circlet made for him by Fashion Passion in Gerudo Town, and further diamonds to have a Great Fairy enhance it.
Alternatively, they can be sold to shop-vendors such as Beedle for 500 Rupees each.

"The most precious ore one can find in Hyrule, its signature sparkle has charmed Hyruleans for generations. As such, it has sold for a very high price since ancient times."
Diamond are the rarest of the Gems found in Tears of the Kingdom. It has been redesigned to resemble a spear point for fusing to weapons, where it has a Fuse Attack power of 25. It has no special effect when fused to any weapon, being one of two gems along with Amber that provide no special effect. A shop in Goron City sells three Diamonds out on display for 1,000 rupees each, roughly double their selling price.

Cadence of Hyrule
In Cadence of Hyrule, diamonds are a form of special currency accepted by Beedle, the Great Fairies (in exchange for weapon enhancements), and the Representative of the Fates upon death. They are among the only things the player does not lose upon death.
Diamonds can be earned in one of two ways: one, clearing out all the enemies on a screen, or two, defeating bosses in random mini dungeons.
If the player dies with zero diamonds, a diamond will appear in the Fates' store. Note that if the game is on permadeath mode, dying resets the game, including all diamonds collected up to that point.
