When Ganondorf enters the Sacred Realm (also known as the Golden Land) in OoT it becomes corrupted and turns into the Dark World. After having defeated Link and recalaiming the Triforce, Ganondorf becomes Ganon. The Sages seal Ganon inside the Sacred Realn with the Triforce (this is not the Seal War, though). Later, evil started coming out of the DW, so the King ordered Seven Sages (whose identities are unknown) to seal the entrance to the DW.

1. Ganondorf rediscovers the entrance to the Golden Land.
2. People fight for the Triforce.
3. Ganondorf finds the Triforce.
4. Ganondorf wishes upon the Triforce, the Sacred Realm becomes the Dark World.
5. Ganondorf's minions attack Hyrule, so the Sages seal the entrance to the Dark World.

1. Link opens the Door of Time and draws the Master Sword; Ganondorf enters the Sacred Realm.
2. Ganondorf gets the Triforce.
3. Ganondorf wishes upon the Triforce, but since his heart is unbalanced it splits.
4. Link defeats Ganondorf.
5. The Sages seal Ganondorf, with the Triforce of Power only, in the Sacred Realm (now known as the Evil Realm).
