As much as I'd like to see Ganon I'd almost want to save him for a dark/gritty game if it ever decides to come out.

Look at the 3 major most recent Zelda games, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and A Link Between Worlds. Every single one of them started out with a new villain, that you were like "Woah! I like this character development!" But then in the end... they still had something to do with Ganon, or ended up being Ganon himself. I feel like even if they introduce a new villain, they always have to link it to Ganon. Which I understand, I mean it'd be like having a Mario game where the bad guy wasn't Bowser. You still have to have him in the game somehow, I mean he just IS the Mario villain. Much like Ganon just IS the Zelda villain, he kind of always has to have a part of the story. Of course I'd like to see a completely new villain with a completely new intention and backstory, but what I THINK, is that it will be a new character that ends up somehow linking to Ganon in the end.

As much as I want someone new, I can't help but bank on old Ganondork. But hey, at least there are no signs of Dark Link.

i hope it is pig ganon because he is the only cool monster in the series that can compare againsts other monsters in real life. i really want to beat him up again and i have not seen him in a game for a while

I dunno, but I am hoping to see Ganondorf again. We kind of saw him in Skyward Sword, but I wouldn't say that it counted for anything, seeing as how Demise was more of a primordial evil being than Ganondorf himself.

Me too. I think he'd fit this game's style a lot and they could really go all out to make him a tough end boss. Pig-Ganon could make his debut after Link defeats Ganondorf. I even have it like this:

Link defeats Gaondorf after a long battle. Ganondorf is kneeling on the ground gasping and near death, and Link stands over him, ready to deliever the final blow. Ganondorf stares up at him with eyes full of hate and rage, saying "I will not succumb to you. I have long contained the beast within me, but I will contain it no longer. If losing my humanity is the price I pay for destroying you, so be it." Ganondorf begins to transform werewolf style into pig-Ganon, as Link backs away in horror. :D

There is NOTHING wrong with having at LEAST a Dark Link based character as a villain. I actually STILL prefer Dark Link, an EVIL version of Link, or a past Link gone corrupt as a villain over the overrated Ganon. Why? Because a past Link gone evil for serious emotional reasons would prove to be the MOST dangerous villain that Link would have ever fought cause a corrupt past Link KNOWS ALL about the Link kind, their weaknesses, strengths, moves, motivation as well as more than the descending Link's and CAN use ALL of THAT AGAINST THEM. An evil Link is better villain than Ganon in my opinion.

Eww, no thanks. What they need to do is drop the whole doppelganger archetype altogether, It was a bad idea to begin with anyway.
