Was out shopping with my parents today and we went to Marshall's. My mom led me to the aisle with the markers and said I could pick out any 2 packs of Copic markers I like as a birthday gift (my birthday is in a couple weeks). I got a set of skin tones plus some reds/blues/yellows, I'm so excited to try them out!

My students recently discovered that they love to play old maid as much as they love to play uno. These kids are habitual smack talkers, too, so breaks from school work just got even more lively.

I finally got my results back for the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test I sat in December and I passed! After having passed the next level below that (N3) six months earlier I just went for it and hardly did any specific preparation to feel out my actual ability.

It was very a "girigiri pass" (meaning it was barley a pass), but at least a pass is a pass and I am certified now since that will make it much easier to find a job relating to Japan in the future. I'll spend this year studying up and hopefully sit the highest N1 level in December.

I finished one of my grad school courses, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get an A in the course which is a great feeling. I start a new course tomorrow so today is a study free day!

Thinking about how lucky we are to live in a place where my mum was able to get her brain surgery for free and without having to go into any debt. Otherwise, we'd be in a pretty bad position.

Got back in touch with my old friend who said he needed space, he came to talk to me. I was able to talk to him and we were able to make a compromise and decide what’s best, and we’re back to being friends, which makes me pretty happy. I got pretty overreactive thinking he wouldn’t talk to me again, but in the end there was no need to worry, really. I feel more confident, but I’m hoping that I can do better as a friend and be more weary and understanding of what he wants in our friendship, not just what I want

I got 100% in my graduate course, which is great. I haven't gotten above an A in any of my graduate courses so I'm excited it's continuing.

A big ol' fox was just prowling around my backyard within a few feet of my house. Got a very clear look at him. I love foxes. Best of both worlds between dogs and cats.

Hung out with an old friend of mine today, we both had things we needed to study. It took me 3 hours, but I finally read my drivers manual! The full manual! My mom just scheduled a date next week for my permit test and I'm so glad I'm finally getting this done.

I had physical therapy today, and everything the therapist did I felt loads of relief off of my lower back.

Though, my hip and butt are still sore from the deep massage and pressure he did to the muscle agitating my sciatic nerve, but that will improve with more sessions.
