With TPHD being all but confirmed, what would you like to see out of this remake/remaster. What do expect to see, and what do you hope to see?

I hope for higher quality textures. An improved dream sequence and by improved I mean turn it into an acid trip. Put 80% of the work into Midna's model. Don't over saturate the colours, try to keep the theme as close to the original as possible. Other than some control improvements I'm all good.

I hope to see:

Graphics similar to the tech demo

A fully orchestrated and remastered soundtrack

A hero mode accessible from the beginning- Enemies do more damage, are more aggressive

Shortened opening sequence via options to skip training bits for players who already know what they are doing.

Improvements to the tears of light quests-actually making them fun or at least shortening them

Shortening of the sky symbol fetch quest

When teleporting with Midna, Link transforms back into a human if he teleported as a human

Gossip stones spread throughout the world which reveal aspects of the series lore by showing a new cutscene. These would add to the exploration side of things as I felt Hyrule was a bit empty for its size and we could have done with a few more things to search for.

Boss rush mode

Removal of the alerts you receive when you pick up a rupee.

Nintendo, here's a great improvement for Twilight Princess HD : how about waiting until after Zelda U releases? Bar Hyrule Warriors and Triforce Heroes, all Zelda games thus far have been remakes. I want a new game, not another remake.

But let me get back on topic. Things I want to see in TPHD...

• Dem Wii U Tech Demo Graffix, plskthx.
• Add some colours into this game. All the browns blended in too much and made the original look dull and bland. It was especially difficult to look around at night.
• Please Nintendo, for the love of all of, please fill Hyrule Field with stuff. More enemies, more secrets, more everything. Don't make another barren, empty overworld.
• Miiverse integration. I loved the system in The Wind Waker HD, and I think it could be used here, too.
• The horse whistle should have not been an endgame or near the end of the game item. Give it to us much earlier, like after escorting Prince Ralis to Kakariko Village. Ilia sees us riding the horse, why not reward us with the whistle along with the Zora armor?
• A fully orchestrated soundtrack.
• Make some of the dungeon items more useful, especially the Spinner. Outside of the dungeon you get it in, it rarely saw use.
• Maybe a few new sidequests?

I'll edit this post when I think of more.

This so much. You've got other good points, but this is the one I would be really pissed off if they didn't do.

As for my own ideas, I'd like for Rupees to be more useful. I like how bombs can't be found in the overworld and thus have to be bought, but there's really not much use for Rupees otherwise.

I think you have some good suggestions, but wouldn't making Hyrule Field less sparse and the Spinner more prevalent change Twilight Princess's identity? Hyrule Field doesn't need to be filled with challenges. It's just an area connecting the various locations of the game together. Plus, fields in real life don't really have much to do either. It's not feasible to place much outside of a cave or hidden hole here and there. Twilight Princess is fine the way it is in that respect. As for items, I completely agree that the likes of the Spinner, Ball and chain, and Dominion Rod were severely underused, but adding more content around those items would not be faithful to what Twilight Princess originally was on GameCube and Wii. I'd rather changes be unobtrusive to the overall experience and smooth out the rough ends, like swift sailing and the Tri Force Shards quest did in The Wind Waker HD.

A few things I would like for the game to be have already been suggested, such as a fully orchestrated soundtrack. That to me is one of the big things they can address.

Another thing is the being able to skip cutscenes and not transforming into wolf just to teleport, like @G-King said.

Other than that, I can't think of anything. But just like in WWHD, what needed changing wasn't apparent until it was changed. Then, it was incredible that we ever played the game that way.
