General Zelda What Do You Name Your Character?

Usually, if it's not Link or Jared, I'll just come up with something stupid.

I just call him Link now, but when I was younger I'd name him after my favorite character(s) from whatever I liked at the time or use my name (Sarah).

I use either Link or my name most of the time. Sometimes I like to name him random crap that just comes out funny in dialogue, like in Pokemon games.

I usually put my own name, but the one exception would be Spirit Tracks. I put a swear word as the name, just make Zelda yell it whenever I got hit by an enemy train.

In most every game I play, I name the main character the canon name of the main character. This includes any and all Zelda games - it's always Link, even if there's already a Link file saved. The two big exceptions are Pokemon and Mass Effect - my Pokemon avatar, when male, is always Seth, and when female, is always Lara. Remnants of my obsession with Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation when I was a kid. For Mass Effect, it's always Jack Shepard - a blatant LOST reference, because why not?
