I was generally displeased with the Demise battle.
For one thing, that battle has to be the definition of anti-climactic. The suspense builds up as Ghirahim takes Zelda into the past. You fight your way through the horde, defeat Ghirahim for the final time, and then! . . . Demise sends you back to Skyloft, just in case you forgot a potion or two for the battle.
*derp*
You can literally do half the side-quests in Skyloft before you go back and fight Ghirahim. Absolutley dissapointing.
The only credit that I will give to this battle is the fact that it was difficult to figure out what you had to do to defeat him. Usually boss battles in Zelda are as subtle as a gun when it comes to letting the player know what you have to do to defeat the boss. However, this one was pleasently different. It took me a good while to figure out what I had to do for each phase.
