Twilight Princess: Shields?

As we all know, you can take your shield on or off at will in Skyward Sword. but in Twilight Princess, the only way you could take off your shield is if you burned it. so what i'm trying to say is, that, why didn't nintendo let you take off your shield?

Yup. It'd be weird to see him without it after you got it.

that's like saying 'you get a bug net in SS so why not in TP?' it's just the way change, you can do things and get stuff in some games you couldn't in previous titles.

The L-targeting in TP automatically raises link's shield, so it wouldn't make sense not to have it out. Besides, the shield doesn't break in TP unless you burn a wooden one soo...
