Every time I raise my right thumb, even slightly, it starts twitching really fast and uncontrollably. I don't know why. This has happened before, but usually it goes away after a few minutes. I haven't used my thumbs for a few hours and it's still doing it which makes me nervous. If it's still going on after a couple days I may see a doctor, something I haven't done since like 2019. Hopefully it won't come to that but since it's my art hand I'm worried.
I haven't had much issue with this since my original post until today, when that same thumb is acting up again. I haven't used it for scrolling since then so I don't know what could be causing it. The only other thing I can think of is that I was using colored pencils (something I'd been doing the last time this happened too) which makes me VERY worried. I really hope this isn't going to become a serious problem :rosa:

It could just be strain from usung tendons, muscles, and etc in your hand, wrist, and fingers. Hopefully it just tender and recovers and nothing further. Crossing fingers. :)

It couldn't hurt to get checked out for carpal tunnel or focal hand dystonia.

Now, bear in mind, I'm not a medical doctor at all, so go check with a doctor. But, here's a basic test you can do for carpal tunnel on your own, it's called the Phalen's Test and Reverse Phalen's Test.

To do the Phalen's Test, start with your hands about waist height and put the backs of your hands together, now keep holding that position and raise your hands to chest level, and hold that position for a minute.

To do the Reverse Phalen's Test, start with your hands about chest height, put your palms together, now keep holding that position and lower your hands to waist level, and hold that position for a minute.

If during any of these tests you feel discomfort or tingling in your hands or wrists, it's probably carpal tunnel.

There's nothing you can really do to check for focal hand dystonia, that requires a medical doctor, and neurological specialist to diagnose.

Apparently I had a Trojan on my computer for a long time, which finally got quarantined after I decided to run a full scan, and my dad repaired the files that were corrupted.
