I had been stressing like crazy for the past two weeks over an upcoming family trip (family issues there, etc.) I couldn't get out of.

Turns out we won't be going after all. I didn't want COVID concerns to be the reason why, but it's a relief regardless.

Bleh my phone was too old to do the bluetooth data transfer to the new one so now I gotta try a three hour itunes sync of restoring the backup from my old phone to my new one. Hopefully it carries over all my stuff.

New phone means I can finally play FE Heroes for the first time since last October when they dropped support for ios8. Time to be completely lost in all the changes they made.

Just a couple, but I don't play them a whole lot. I'm gonna have to find a new solitaire app cuz the opposite happened with that and it does not support ios14.

All of the Captain D's that we had here went out of business in the previous decade. My theory when I was younger was all of the local seafood places downtown drove them out of business. What tourists would travel here and go to Captain D's over getting local cuisine?

Anyway, it just crossed my mind that old theory doesn't hold up. We still have a Red Lobster and a Long John Silver's.

I always like Captain D's over Long John Silver's, honestly I don't get how that place stayed afloat all these years.

Never tried their chicken, but I won't argue on the hushpuppies. The one thing that always took Captain D's over the top for me, though, was that they are one of the few places that serve fried okra. So that's why I'd pick it over LJS.

Now A&W has decent burgers, and drinking root beer from a chilled mug is great.

Agreed. DQ's Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard and an Oreo blizzard, give me that and I am happy!

oh yeah blizzards are unrivaled in the ice cream fast food joint
dairy queen's food offerings are generally pretty meager but they have their home runs, like the coney dog

Take it from me, just drive there and get it. It's cheaper, easier on the staff, quicker, one less step so it's gonna be better quality. Looks good tho!
